How To Be Wardrobe Ready For The Holidays!

in Lifestyle on 11/07/15

Six.  Only six shopping weekends left until Christmas! How long is my “must buy” list this year?  About as long as my arm.  With two teenagers in the house the need for fashion has understandably tripled! It seems every time we hit the mall one of us discovers just one more glorious sweater, a killer pair of boots, or a sweet little top that will be just the “perfect” thing to finish off the never ending wardrobe needs of a home bursting with women.  As the holidays approach, my shopping senses kick into overdrive.  I’m prepping for pre-parties, office parties, get togethers with girlfriends and family dinners.  Keeping my eyes open for charming pieces that can be used to complement my existing wardrobe, to add a little glitz and glamour to my everyday and spice up what we currently own to have us all ready for the holidays is my key to success.

Recently Hudson’s Bay sent me some adorable pieces from their Style & Co. line to style, and help me be sure that I’m ready for anything this holiday season has to throw at me.

So where do I start?  With denim of course.  I’m a girl who adores her jeans. I find them comfortable and feel good in them.  Want to dress up a pair of jeans in a hurry?  It’s easy with a couple of great accessories and a sweet little blazer! This STYLE AND CO. Solid Knit Fitted Blazer is reasonably priced and pairs beautifully with blue jeans.  The jeans shown below are also by STYLE AND CO., the slim leg tucks beautifully into my fave pair of tall black boots.  With a little black jacket and those pair of tall boots, your ready for those last minute holiday coffee dates!

Insider tip:  If black isn’t your ideal colour, it also comes in Charcoal Heather!BayCollage2

Are you hoping to add a little colour to your winter wardrobe?  During the Holiday season you can’t go wrong with red!

ABayTop

This STYLE AND CO. Solid Pleated-Neck Top in a beautiful shade of red and can be dressed up or down in a hurry.  Throw it on with that fave pair of black pants, put your hair up and your ready for a Christmas lunch with girlfriends, or even a night on the town.  Layer it under a jacket for a flush of colour, or put it with your best pair of black pants and some sparkly earrings to keep you in the Holiday spirit.  A mani to match?  Always a good idea!

  PS Did I mention it’s only $24.99?

Another new and favourite find is the STYLE AND CO. Chiffon Hem Three-Quarter Sleeve Top.  With a scoop neck, and three quarter sleeves, this free flowing top has a flattering fit that is easily paired with Pull On Slim Fit Pants by STYLE AND CO. and as always, you can make the style your own with some fun chunky jewellery.  Add a  bright lip and you’re ready to roll.  I now know what I will be wearing to the Holiday Office Party this year!  It’s stylish, sassy and dare I admit it; oh so comfortable!

This chiffon top is generously sized, shown here in size small, and is also available in mountain lollipop red and teal gem.  It’s a great wardrobe basic for a Mama for any Holiday gathering.

Formal dress pants not your thing?  My favourite alternative to black dress pant are jeggings or leggings.  These STYLE AND CO. Stretch Seam-Front Ponte Leggings shown here and above, can be easily paired with any long and cozy sweater or long top.  Perfect for everything from family dinners to more formal events out on the town.

ABayPants

I predict once you buy yourself a pair of black leggings or jeggings, you will never go back to boring old dress pants again!

Leggings are a wardrobe staple for me and these stretch ponte leggings feature a flattering fit and sleek silhouette that will complement any top.  Put these comfy leggings with any top you already have in your wardrobe, or treat yourself to the Golden tones of this STYLE AND CO. Cowl-Neck Cable-Knit Tunic and you’r ready for anything the holidays might throw at you!  Please note that this top does run large!

By adding just a few new glitzy pieces to your already established wardrobe you will be ready to dance through any date, dinner, or family party that comes your way.  Stress free and sassy! Wishing you all happy shopping and the most joyous of Holidays!

I can’t believe how much free stuff you bloggers get (trips, clothes and all matter of stuff), must be really nice. You have great style sense and I know because I see all your pictures. Unfortunately over the years I’ve found in my case warm, comfortable clothing works best for me.

Im past the glittery gold and silver, but RED will always be my pop color! Red shoes especially! I’m pretty plain Jane, but Red is an acutely acceptable color in our area…our area state UW team is close and there is always a wave of red. Sometimes you think you’d get tired of it but NO!
