A little something happened on our recent trip to Florida.
When did it happen, when did my little BlueEyes decide to make the jump from the Toy Section to the stores with the Designer Labels?
Shopping has taken a turn. I have created a monster.
“No Mom I don’t want a toy”. “A Mickey T-Shirt, that is so random.” (her favorite word right now)
What she wanted…a pair of open toe Guess Wedges. Woman size 5. No other shoes would do. She pranced around the store like a new born fawn. A little wobbly, a lot proud.
My response. “Uhhh..I don’t know. Where would you ever where those?”
Pushover Hubby’s response. “Ahh, Sure Honey. If it will make you smile like that.”
You’ve never seen a pre-teen so happy in her life.
What have we started.

I’ll never forget the day we went to a thrift store and my 4 year old completely ignored all the toys they had and just started loading her arms up with clothes, accessories and eventually, shoes. A year later, I think I have the only 5 year old shopaholic in the world, lol. We are both in for it!

Love it! And, I am living the same life with my 14 and 12 year old. It’s not so bad…I borrowed a really cute “Juicy” purse from them the other day:-)

Big Girl Shoes! Aren’t they great! I remember my first pair~~~~I loved them but wasn’t alloweds to wear them out of our yard. I’m sure the neighbors thought I was crazy prancing around in heels; Oh Well!

Girl Next Door! Too funny. She is growing like a puppy right now so shouldn’t be long. Now just have to figure out how to get her to stop at my size đ

Thank God, my kids are boys!

Embrace it – when she gets to your size you will employ “shoe math.” You know “new math”? well shoe math is price of shoes / 2 people (you both can wear them ) = new price of shoes. You can justify anything. trust me. It works….
