Clearly I need a vacation. Somewhere sunny and warm, safe and on a beautiful white beach. Why is it so hard to find a great family friendly all inclusive with two bedrooms?
There are not enough hours in a day. Sure I can get the stupid laundry done, clean the sticky off the floors, organize a quasi healthy meal like a good Mommy….but where is the time left for my mani/pedi? For lounging in my PJ’s? For reading a good book with a cup of hot cocoa. Why must I do all of my things after 10:30pm?
Why is it that the one morning you don’t get dressed RIGHT away. The one time you decide to do that lounging in your PJ’s, surf some blogs, don’t have that shower and do the full make-up thing…is the time both the UPS guy and the creepy pool guy show up.
Sigh. Must go now.

Hee hee, so my funny story for YOU. I usually wear pj’s all day. Why not? I have no where to go, I work from home, and this way there are less clothes to wash and I can pretend to fit into my jeans if I am not wearing them. But one day we were going out and I was getting ready. The kids were still asleep so I headed downstairs in my bra and undies with my hair in a towel to make coffee. I heard a knock and the door, and not knowing what to do, I grabbed my long black coat from the closet. It was my s-i-l dropping off some clothes. she handed them to me and said “well, I will let you get back to your flashing” Thank goodness it was only her!

Yup, we don’t do cartoons either…and I admit to maybe ONE extra show every now and then for the kiddos. As for me and the hubs, well we are plain out addicted – we watch about 2 hours together every night 🙂

I totally understand! A few days ago, I didn’t get dressed until the afternoon and my cousin stopped by and said, “You are not dressed? It’s one o’clock.” Well, it was rainy and depressing and I wanted to stay in my pj’s. Then, a couple of days ago, I did it again (rainy and depressing) and the Terminix guy came to our house. And the UPS guy came twice. I need to get a life outside of Yo Gabba Gabba. Speaking of, I was just thinking about letting my son watch TV today. Yes, I let him everyday. How else am I supposed to get stuff done? Come on!

I look at the women with nice nails and wonder where they get their extra hour in the day – oh I know…they don’t blog!!!

Fingers crossed that you’re able to find SOME peace today – maybe in a latte or an uninterupted bubble bath? As for TV – There is one show I don’t mind watching with my kids “Wizards of Waverly Place” on the Disney channel. It reminds me of the Brady Bunch days – lessons learned, kids being kids and parents being parents (not absent doofuses).

I hear ya, I hear ya…
The only way I got anything done was the clean, commercial free Noggin flowing freely from the television for hours on end. Now that they are older it’s a bit easier but hey, child programming, it’s the shiz…wish I could italicize that…just say it like this, “shizzzzzzzzz”. For realz.

“Why must I do all of my things after x:xxpm?”
“There’s just not enough hours in the day!”
How many times have I (and the million mothers the world over) said this? 🙂

You are so right about the TV! I bet there isn’t a mom out here who hasn’t used the television as a babysitter at one time or another. Creepy Pool Guy – You mean you have a pool??!! – Lucky Gal!

I am in my PJ’s most days until at least 1PM and often 4PM rolls around and I’m still in them! I don’t get the door, ever! Unless I know I have a pkg coming that needs a signature you won’t get me to open that door. I keep telling myself that I have to shower and get dressed and then blog but it doesn’t happen. Of course I can only do this because my kids are grown and out of the nest.
I love TV! I actually love movies and have them going all day long.
We didn’t have much more then Sesame Street when my kids were little but I definately let them watch it. I was never much for cartoons except for the Flinstones & the Jetson’s, those rocked.
I do agree with you.

You are living my life. I totally noticed that cartoons are wierd and full of nothing but trouble and violence. I don’t get it. What ever happend to the Pee Wee Herman show and the secret word. Now that was a great show.
The TV and or Computer are my babysitters. My family can’t live without either one. lol
