My day begins like many other Mama’s out there. The crazy rush to get the kids out the door. Don’t have a single thing for the kids to eat for lunch cause the sandwich meat just smelled a wee bit funky as I pulled it from the crisper, all the good “school” clothes are somehow still in the laundry basket, and my blackberry is telling me I have to be at a meeting at 9am. This was excellent planning. Not.
We scramble, create a stellar lunch of leftover pasta with a side of “I’m very sorry honey here is a scrumptious chocolate cupcake to make up for it”, and de-wrinkle some clothes in the dryer. I make that meeting, dressed to kill, and no one is the wiser.
How has this happened again?
Oh yes, perhaps part of my issue is the fight for precious computer time. Our family computer, though old, is still one of the most popular places in the house. I have to out fox two computer savvy kids and fight with my Hubby for some quality face to face with that precious keyboard and screen.
How would my life be simpler with an HP Mini 110? Well for one thing I could get in my quality twitter, facebook and blog time at human hours, not the allotted time I have now between the hours of 10pm and 2am!
If I had a beautiful HP Mini to call my very own. I would give her a sweet sweet name like Doris or Bella and love her and care for her like she was one of my own babies. I would never let her get dirty. No sticky fingers covered in jam and peanut butter. I would protect her from my other children. I would even hide her from the great big thumping fingers of my Hubby. She would be mine, all mine. I could keep track of all of my facebook, twitter and bloggy friends! I could write uninterrupted, create schedules, pay bills on time ….the list is endless. Little Bella would make my life lovely. Oh how I long to own a sweet little HP Mini of my very own.
Sigh…….heart rate slowing now.

Do you have to be a mom to enter? Can’t you just be someone trying to make the world a better place by working for a pittance at your non-profit job and living in NYC, one of the most expensive sities in the country, hence being too poor to afford a new laptop after yours died about two months ago and so having to go to Kinkos to send resumes to other non-profit listings hoping you will get a new job that you still won’t make money at, but where you may at least be treated with an ounce of respect unlike your current job…

The HP would simplify my life because I would then NOT have to share our one computer with my husband!!

I got so excited, I forgot to leave my reason. It is because I have 6 children. Four of them are now old enough to use a computer. My desktop has a disc drive that is glued shut…by a peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich. I won’t replace it, beacuse the last desktop? It was ruined by a PB&J sandwich. So, I’m holding out, until my more destructive children get a bit older. In order to squeeze in computer time, my older children will sneak out of bed in the middle of the night to get on the internet. I. Hate. That. When I wake up in the middle of the night with my babies, I sometimes just stay up, because the unused computer beckons, begging me to harvet my FarmVille crops, or check my email. Come dinner time? I. Hate. Me.
Another laptop that could be all mine? Wow. THAT would be cool. I think I’d hide in my closet and tap into our wifi, just to keep it a secret from my kids, and maybe from my hubby too!

Being a SAHM, full time babysitter to the nephew, part time of the neice and nephew, going to school online full time, and living in the brother-in-law and sister-in-laws basement is a little stressful. Having 3 people taking college courses online and 2 kids that need a computer daily for school and only one computer…beyond stressful. Oh to have my own mini…not having to do homework at midnight, not tring to figure out who hit what button to make my icons become life sized…I might even have an extra 5 minutes a day to, like, you know, shower!
I would love to win one!

I am sure everyone would like a new laptop…I am using my old PC right now…a laptop would make it more easier for myself because we would be able to use the PC for work purposes only. Thanks for the great giveaways. rebeccae69@hotmail.com

Currently, my desktop is located IN my children’s playroom. The netbook would make it possible for me to lock myself in a closet somewhere for some quiet time while I blog:)
Thanks for the AWESOME giveaway!
