My child is 11 years old and it was 11:30 at night. When I went to check on her last night I did the lick your finger stick it under her nose to make sure she is still breathing thing. Haven’t pulled that one out in a long time.
Presidents Choice Chocolate Chip cookies were on sale at the grocery store today. We bought 3 bags. These cookies never disappoint. I guarantee their won’t be one cookie left by Wednesday.
I bought my 11 year old daughter a size Small shirt at American Eagle. It fit her perfectly. She is a little gymnast with a six pack. Suddenly don’t feel so bad about those size Larges I’m sporting.
We went to a family wedding last weekend. The couple were so in love and the ceremony was lovely. Years ago you enjoyed a wedding if there was a free bar. Now the sign of a good wedding is if the facility has good bathrooms, you can park fairly close to the hall so your killer heels don’t hurt your toes, and you can arrange a sitter who is skilled enough to get your kids to fall asleep BEFORE you get home. Old much?
My kids know every word to “I Kissed a Girl and I Liked it”. Mmm Is this a sign of bad parenting?
I’m going to go back outside to watch my kids act like monkeys on the climber and bake my brain in some more in the sun. Clearly need that!
Hope you have a wonderfully random Monday!
Mwah!
Linky love. CSN giveaway ends Friday.

I check my kids multiple times before I go to bed…I wonder when that will stop…maybe when I quit watching serial killer/crime shows late at night.

Your so funny. You are too young to worry about the parking. I still like an open bar!!!
Krystyn says
Oh, everything about the wedding…so true.
I hope your little one is feeling better.

That climber looks fantastic!
Getting home from anywhere late and the kids being asleep is a total blessing! A nice end to a great night.

I have a son who is 11 and he won’t sing a song at all. He likes to listen to them and not sing. Who listens to great songs and DOESNT SING? I have resolved that THAT makes him abnormal. Yes, he’s mine. Yes, I love him as much as a momma should but darnit, that ain’t normal!
And…after 3 kids, I scout out the bathrooms first before anything…probably try them first thing when walking in a building… just to make sure I know exactly where they are! 🙂

are my comments going through? I give up
Frugal Vicki says
I am giving up on trying to keep my kids from saying anything. The more I try, the more they say it and hear things so I give up. I like the song.

my daughter loves kissed a girl..she calls it cherry chapstick. Now she is into summertime girls…when I hear her saw daisy dukes on bottom I cringe and giggle at the same time!

Okay, I’m catching up on blog reading and #1 – seriously? Just NOW out of school? We’ve been out since May and return the first full week of August!!
And secondly, my 6-year-old daughter jumped up and down when I told her Celtic Thunder would be in our town this fall and already asked if she could hug two of them. Oh my.

If you are a Mom you know where the bathrooms are. hehehe.
Anyway… My kids sleep so soundly that sometimes I have to watch their chests move.

OMGracious! The last of my closest friends got married for the first time last fall and we all came back to town for it, because she was the last…I think we seriously forgot we all had kids at home to wake up to in the morning. The pictures are hilarious. At least my kids were spending the night at a friends’ house so I had a little extra recovery time in the am! Oh My!
