The kids are in school. It’s only week two.
I find myself idle.
So what do I do to pass the time?
Shop.
The sales are ridiculous! It’s like the stores have been laying in wait for all the emotionally drained my kids are at school and my heart is there too Mama’s to wonder like zombies into their waiting and eager clutches.
So far I have fallen victim to:
Guess Jeans with the cutest pockets ever.
A Pretty little T.
Grey Nail Polish.
I still have to find some new boots….shoes/boots always make me feel better. (they always fit)
Am I trying to hang on to my youth with these unneeded purchases or is this just a case of good old fashioned retail therapy. Yeah I know, it’s retail therapy at its finest.
Damn, it’s expensive when the kids go back to school.

Gotta love retail therapy! I do my fair share!

Retail Therapy.. isn’t it grand.. I try my best not to go shopping, even if I’m bored and want to go “window shopping” I’ll end up with something..
Always love new shoes and clothes though đ

And this is why hubby hates for me to take any days off – because I end up supporting the local economy! đ

Just think of what you are saving because you don’t have them with you begging for something!
Come by when you are done shopping…

a reward for yourself is nice now and then.

SO true. I have shopping problems all the time! I cannot stop! And yes, the sales are so tempting right now! I need new boots too!

During my maternity leave I tried to get out of the house at least once a day for my sanity…but it started getting too expensive so my husband told me if I want to go on any outings it could not include places with a cash register. Oops! So then I stayed home…and shopped online. Haha.

exactly why my hubby was almost happy when i came down with strep throat! meds and drs and much cheaper than me shopping!

Ha! I love it, my friends and I are always saying the same thing. We shop, go to lunch etc. Having my kids in school is going to bankrupt us:)
Shannon says
The only way I can save money is to stay home…well at least that’s the way it used to be before I discovered the joys of online shopping. I thought this post was going to be about the cost of private school or something, something that will face us soon in the near future, but instead you made me laugh this morning! Have a great one!

Too funny! I remember when mine both started school, I found myself in the same situation! I decided to take on a part-time job as a cashier at a local grocery store, then thought…this isn’t what I want to do! So I enrolled in our Jr. College and took classes twice a week while they were in school. It was perfect! I never did graduate (still need more classes) as we moved, but it kept me out of the stores! LOL

I found myself doing exactly the same thing – and even a stroppy toddler in tow didn’t stop me. When a girl’s got to shop…..
Laura@SouthernPirates says
I thought I was the only one with this problem!
