There have been some summers where I have looked back and felt like we did nothing, went nowhere, and saw no one! Just a blur of hazy days and hotter nights. This year I made a vow to myself, I was not going to let the summer just pass us by. I was going to make it a special one for my girls. My goal was to try and make each day count.
Here’s how it went… all too quickly.
Countless laughs and giggles in the sun.
Never enough hours splashing in the pool.
Too many popsicles and indulgent meals. Is there such a thing?
Road trips!! To Niagara Falls, Toronto, New York City, the Beach and the Lake.
Precious time with family and friends.
Quiet time with good books, and playtime discovering the wonders of dirt with the cutest of nephews.
Parties and late nights, celebrations with old friends and new.
September already?? I’m not ready for summer to be over, but am so thankful for what can only be described as the fastest, most adventurous summer of our lives.
The pool is still open and we plan on squeezing every last drop of fun and sunshine our of summer before the cool of fall takes over and demands sweaters and nights by the fire.
The good news, the end of summer does mean it’s time to start planning a winter vacation!
Feeling warm, blessed and happy. I know I’m lucky to have had such a wonderful summer and hope to carry these memories in my heart for many years to come. Hope your summers were equally as wonderful.
Happy Labour Day. xoxo

I am not ready to let summer go. I actually joined Murray in his tears when we left the lake yesterday. Such great memories, though!
