Remember when Sundays were the day of the week you got to kick back, relax and spend some real quality time with your family? I do too! It wasn’t that long ago, was it?
Our Sundays have gotten all too busy with a big list of what we “must” do and not enough of what we “want” to do. This afternoon I vowed to change that!
With the help of Rice Krispies and a sweet little gift from Kellogg’s I carved out some quality time with my little one’s. Rice Krispies, marshmallows, cookie cutters and a handful of Halloween candy, afforded us an afternoon of sticky fingers, smiles and the sweetest of treats!
We followed these simple directions from the RiceKrispies site, they have an entire section dedicated to special occasions!
The goal was something “Spooktacular”
The results were these fabulous creations:
I love to watch my girls unleash their creative powers! So simple, so sweet. An afternoon making treats and memories with my two girls, well this might be the best way to spend just about every day. Thanks Kellogg’s!
Those treats turned out great! I think my favourite is the pumpkin with the googly eyes. Who made that one?
oh my gosh! yours look fantastic!
I am thoroughly impressed! My Rice Krispies squares barely made it to the decorating stage… nom, nom, nom.
I admire your desire for family time, we all need to slow down and just “be”!!!
YUM!
Oh yum, how fun.
Cute! I could really go for a homemade rice krispy treat right now!
I just made some the other day too! Yummy!
It looks SO delicious; especially at the moment as I wait for Darling Husband to finish cooking our Sunday dinner.
Good Luck in sticking with family time on Sundays.
Aww! Cute treats
I love Rice Krispie treats – they are so simply, but oh so delicious at the same time!
oh yeah…rice krispie treats are the bomb….my boys would never make it to decorating them…lol
