It is the season, the season of panic, of over scheduling and yes of opportunity! It’s the Christmas Season!! I once again vow to make this year, the BEST Christmas EVER. Rushing from store to store. Making my Christmas lists of gifts and groceries, planning parties and organizing everyone’s schedule. It all becomes all most…too much?
This year I must remember to slow down, say thanks for all my many blessings and pay it forward in any little way I can. Some simple ideas:
*Give up that prime parking spot to someone who needs it more then me.
*Hold the door open for a stranger, even if they don’t say thank you.
*Offer a smile to the harried and stressed Mama at the mall.
*Surprise a stranger by buying their coffee…just because.
*Encourage my girls to make a donation to the annual toy drive in our neighbourhood.
And today, announce that I will help Butterball #PayItForward
I invite you to join me as I help host the Butterball Canada #PayitForward Holiday Twitter Party! Such a fabulous idea!!
On Wednesday, November 28th at 8:00pm EST, we will chat about all the fabulous ways you keep the holiday spirit alive and your best tips for spreading joy this season.
To celebrate, we’ll be giving away six $50 Butterball Gift Certificates.
And you’ll have the chance to pay it forward! Those lucky winners will also receive an additional $50 Butterball Gift Certificate to gift to anyone you please! A teacher, a sister, a community group, a deserving neighbour who is always there for you, or perhaps donate it to your local food bank, the choice is all yours!
Come share the season of the spirit with us and RSVP in the linky below!
*Prizing is available to Canadians only. *Please be sure to enter your Twitter Handle “@yourTwitterhandle” in the Link/Blog Title field, and your Twitter URL “www.twitter.com/yourtwitterhandle” in the Link Field*

I love the pay it forward aspect of this giveaway so if I am lucky to win 2 gift cards, I will give them both away to someone else who needs them more than I do. Fabulous idea!

What a great giveaway! I am not Canadian, so I’ll just express my support of such a cause!
I love your ideas for ways to help others. I must say, I do all of them, except for buying a stranger’s coffee. I don’t actually buy coffee myself, so maybe that’s why I’ve yet to accomplish this.
I’ve noticed lately how most strangers are more than happy to engage in small talk when you try. They don’t want to hear about my bunions and gassy stomach, but they love to talk about sales and deals. I stopped a woman in the store the other day because she was buying the wrong size of Pop Tarts. “The larger box is the same price and you’ll get twice as many Pop Tarts,” I said. She was eternally grateful and I did my part to contribute to American obesity. Score!!!
(I have a great giveaway on my blog right now that I’m so excited about! Check it out if you have time!)

Love Butterball turkeys. I am wintering in Florida and celebrated the American Thanksgiving by cooking a delicious Butterball Turkey breast in our crock pot….delicious!!! It even came with it’s own gravy…so easy! It left me with lots of pool and shopping time!
