Do you think Mother Nature is taking an extended vacation? Usually at this time of year I sit at my kitchen table and have a view of snow drifts covering up our play house, squirrels bouncing through peaks and valleys of deep white, and icicles hanging precariously off the roof. Today all I see is grey. Verdict, depressing.
Mother Nature has lost her mind! Rainstorms with thunder and lightning have replaced snow squalls. Fog warnings are issued instead of winter road advisories.
Driving borders on dangerous.
(and not to worry, I stopped the car before snapping this pic)
It’s dull, it’s dark and it makes the days oh so long. The thing that is getting me through? Knowing that in less then two weeks my view will be a whole lot sunnier! I’m off to check out a Global Resort Home in gorgeous Florida, and the house I drive up to will look more like this! Squee! Isn’t she pretty?
The private pool in the back just begging for attention, a built in BBQ worthy of a world class chef! I am going to have fun getting my Domestic Goddess on! Somehow barbequing by a wee pool while on vacation, just doesn’t seem like a chore!
Sigh, thank goodness for vacations, for sunshine, for family time and all things travel! I’m shrugging off the grey, counting my blessings and looking forward to making memories with the most important people in the world, my people, my family.
What are you looking forward to most this grey day?
I hope there is some sunshine in your future!

I hear yah…Our snow is just about to melt. I’d rather have white blanket of snow than the grey, brown, dark, gloomy view of winter.
ANyway, I’m excited for you and your family! That’s a nice vacation house!
