I was on the Red Carpet!! Me!
The countdown was on! Just hours before the #ETCGrammys were set to begin in LA, and this city was buzzing with a palpable electricity you could actually feel! The most incredible thing, I was right in the middle of it! Last Sunday, I had one of those “pinch me” kind of days! We made it out of a wicked snow storm in Canada, the stars aligned, and my SassyHubby and I were headed to the longest Red Carpet ever!
I started my morning with a quick turn in the make-up chair. The fabulous hair and make-up artists had their hands full, two days of stressed out travel had left me worn out and tired looking. They worked their magic and by 10:30am my hair was coifed, and my hands were shaking. It was time to go and meet the entire ET Canada team! I was escorted to the Red Carpet where I had the honour and privilege of meeting some of the fabulous ET Canada Team (many of which I had already met while stranded at the airport, but we survived the great snow storm of 2013 Toronto together!) This is where the real fun began!
We walked around a quiet corner, took a few steps under some pristine white draping, and were met with what seemed to be miles of brilliant Red Carpet. Placed like artwork down the long walkways were dozens of gorgeous chandeliers, and of course the GRAMMYs, protected and sealed under glass cases. Camera crews were everywhere and pretty people and all their friends were running wild.
It didn’t take long before the star spotting began! Just as the Entertainment Tonight Canada Hosts Roz Weston, Rick Campanelli, and Natasha Gargiulo took their spots and were ready to interview the stars, the stretch Limos and Prius Cabs began dropping off the long awaited guests!! Some of the first to arrive; Ashaniti looking so glam, Carely Rae Jepson in a to die for Roberto Cavalli dress, and a member of LMFAO with the best hair ever. For real it was wild!
Other stars quickly started taking the carpet by storm! So many that I almost didn’t know which way to look! I was lucky enough to see Justin Timberlake, Hunter Hayes, and Kelly Osborne rockin’ her purple locks. Nancy O’Dell was simply drop dead gorgeous. Kimbra took a moment to show off her shoes to the shoe cam!! (I now firmly believe every award show should have a shoe cam.) Even Ed Sheeran and Mumford stopped to pose for the photogs. There was no shortage of glittery shoes, glam make-up and sparkle laden dresses.
I even managed to snap a picture of Neil Patrick Harris as he left the famous Red Carpet right in front of us!! Love him!
Watching the celebs work the Red Carpet was truly a once in a life time opportunity.
Spending time with ETCanada is something I will never forget!
I started my morning with goosebumps from the cold, and ended my afternoon with goosebumps of excitement! The best part, it wasn’t over yet! Now it was time to leave this gorgeous Red Carpet behind and head into the Staples Center. Up next, all the live performances at the GRAMMY Awards! I couldn’t wait to see Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Carrie Underwood, and Elton John and Ed Sheeran singing together for the very first time!! Don’t be too jealous, I will share the whole scoop with you in my next post!
Thanks Entertainment Tonight Canada and Skinny Cow for this unbelievable and unforgettable opportunity! Mwah!
WOW! Look at you at the Grammys. Looks like it was a lot of fun!
Yikes! Bikini pics of your daughters splattered all over your blog. Behaviour of a narcissist.
What would have been more impressive is an intelligent post about the Grammys.
Try to do something and not brag about it-a true sign of a healthy ego.
Wow, that is certainly a moment to remember.
I bet you had an amazing time there!
Wow you looked stunning! Can’t believe you had such an amazing opportunity and will cherish this for years to come.
Oh thanks so much! Both my Hubby had an incredible time, I had to keep pinching myself to see if it was real! (and PS Having a Hair and Make- up team, that was just the icing on the nearly perfect cake!)
You basically look like YOU should have been stepping out of the limo and on stage to collect some kind of award. STUNNING!!!
You’re the sweetest! Thanks so much, I had an AMAZING time, not to mention a top notch hair and make-up team!
