Do you think life would be more interesting if you could just admit to and own your quirks, your “issues”, your addictions? We all know I have spent more then enough time ranting about my “issues”. It’s no secret that I detest liars, I feel people who chew with their mouths open are gross, I frankly do not understand idiots who don’t know how to use deodorant and close talkers can kiss my butt. (they are already close enough!)
Today I will lay some new confessions on you, my addictions.
Love me or leave me…this is me:
I have an unhealthy addiction to popcorn. I have been known to wait until the kids go to bed at night to get out the popper, you know, so I don’t have to share.
My day is not complete without coffee.
I adore all things chocolate.
Cheese; it’s a problem.
I will not leave the house without make-up. Just a little, but still, no naked face here. Addicted to lip gloss and mascara!
I hope it’s okay to spend a good part of each day dreaming about travel and vacations because I do. Every day. I think children learn huge life lessons when you give them the gift of travel, and couples grow deeper in love with every trip.
My body physically craves the warmth from fire in the fireplace, and the heat from the sun. There is not ever enough heat.
I am not good at laundry, but I am good at fabric softener. (In case you didn’t know, that is a thing) I am addicted to sweet smelling laundry. In my world, clean smelling laundry and kiddos are the first step to Domestic Goddess Hood. No towel, sheet or shirt gets past me without out a good old fashioned wash topped off with fabric softener, Downy Unstopables, and then a Bounce Bar just for good measure. You simply can not have enough good smell! (Pssst you can save $3.00 off the awesomeness that is Downy Unstopables on the brandsaver.ca website!)
I’ve been watching the Young and the Restless since I was a babe in my Mother’s lap. I won’t say I’m addicted, but I sure as heck can’t give it up!
TV shows I will admit to being addicted to right now; Shameless, The Amazing Race, International House Hunters and Grey’s Anatomy – even though that last one makes me cry far too often these days.
I am addicted to lists. As much as I am having a bit of an affair with my iPhone I am a paper and pen girl at heart. To Do lists, notebooks and brand new calendars at the beginning of the year? Love.
Confession. The sad thing, this is just the tip of the iceberg!
Have any addictions you want to confess?
Disclosure: I am a P&Gmom. As part of my affiliation with this group I receive products and special access to P&G events and opportunities. The opinions on this blog are my own.

My addictions include: any kind of chip or cracker with any kind of dip, Coronation Street, and the Rick Mercer Report. Oh, and reading this blog, of course!!

I have to really make an effort to slap on some makeup before leaving the house. I tend to do it more in Spring. I already look so haggard in winter, I don’t even think the mascara helps at all.

You forgot Starbucks!!
I actually wrote a song about my addictions that was sang/sung??? At my 40th:
RED WINE AND TRUFFLES & DIGITAL PHOTOS,
STEPHANIE PLUM ON MY E-READER KOBO,
LISTS ON ORANGE PAPER & BLACKBERRY PINGS.
These are a few of my favourite things.
MY BOOKCLUB GIRLFRIENDS and GROUP POWER WITH TERRI.
NIXEY CHICK WEEKENDS & SMOOTHIES WITH BERRIES.
LADYBUGS FLYING WITH RED AND BLACK WINGS.
These are a few of my favourite things.
STARBUCKS’ CHAI LATTES &
PAINTING ON CANVAS
MICKEY and MINNIE, A NEW FACEBOOK STATUS
YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and CHILDREN WHO SING.
These are a few of my favourite things.
When the kid’s sick,
When I gain weight,
When I’m feeling sad.
I simply remember my favourite things.
And then I don’t feel so bad.

I can’t start my day without coffee. If I did, bad stuff would happen.
I’m totally addicted to Real Housewives; the show that is. If they offered a 24 hour live feed, I’d have to quit my job!!
Good smelling laundry is a must for me too!

I think we, as moms, wives, daughters, sisters, friends…. We need to allow ourselves a lot more grace to enjoy the small things. And if they do become addictions, lets remind ourselves that these things such as chocolate, popcorn and Grey’s Anatomy probably aren’t hurting anyone. They just let us turn off our brains for a little while and enjoy a little well-deserved treat. So enjoy, guilt-free, in healthy doses 🙂 thanks for being real!

I agree on all the food addictions. In fact, I am planning to make popcorn tonight – I like mine airpopped with a drizzle of olive oil and salt.
And yes, to heat! Summer is my best time.

My daughter is addicted to popcorn too. Salt is a crave I suppose 😉

At this time of year, I’m addicted to Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs. I admit to buying, stashing, and hiding them so I can have them all for myself;)
