We are a family of snackers!! Our favourite choices range from boring to wild and diverse. There is no snack left uneaten in this house. So when PepsiCo Foods Canada offered me an opportunity to try the new Twistos, share my thoughts and then create a 12 box giveaway for one lucky reader of course I said yes!
On my doorstop on the only sunny day of the week was this super stuffed box of Twistos.
Haven’t heard of them? They are a the newest product brought to you by PepsiCo Foods Canada, and in a word, they are delish! The very first bag I cracked open was the “Bruschetta”. (because I have a problem with all things Bruschetta) My thoughts; they are crispy, light and seasoned with just enough tomato and onion flavour to remind you of the real thing. By the way, they are also fabulous with the addition of a little cream cheese! I had to make myself step away from the bowl…..
As soon as the kids came home from school they dove head first into the giant box of snackage. Their first choice to try was the Cheddar & Chive Baked Snack Crackers. They adored the cheesy flavour, I liked that I could indulge in 15 crackers for a mere 90 calories. The only problem, stopping at 15.
We then went on to try all the other flavours!! Balsamic Vinegar & Olive Oil, Asiago, Parmesan & Garlic, and Parmesan & Oregano.
After much munching, days of testing and a teeny bit of deliberation a favourite did emerge. Hubby and I like the idea of the Balsamic Vinegar & Olive Oil as a quick snack or to use on salads, the Asiago is simply divine on top of Tomato Soup, as is the Parmesan & Garlic, and the Parmesan & Oregano was nice with cheese; but for our family the hands down favourite is the “Cheddar & Chive”. Oh wait, all except my youngest who later changed her mind and declared the Parmesan & Oregano her forever fave.
My conclusion; all are great tasty little snacks to grab when on the go, or throw in school lunches. They are even better when paired with a favourite cheese or as a topping for soups and salad. I love their versatility and distinct flavours. Twistos will now be a regular in our family pantry.
Would you like a chance to try out all of these fab flavours? One lucky Canadian reader of How To Survive Life In The Suburbs will win a prize pack containing twelve assorted bags of Twistos Snack Bites and Twistos Crackers. A $50 value!
