As a Mama of two, one of the things I strive to instil in my daughters every single day is a sense of confidence. I hope that they have confidence in themselves as good people, as strong young woman, as athletes and as individuals. As much as I’m often heard quoting one of my favourite sayings; “You have to prepare your child for the path, not the path for your child” , it could be said sometimes that path needs a little paving.
Over the last couple of months I’ve talked with young girls who have told me how their lives have been forever changed with the help of contacts. Not just because they can play sports without fear, or because those glasses of theirs no longer slip down their nose during Phys Ed class, but because they have more confidence in themselves. The confidence they need to try new things and just be themselves. There really could be not bigger gift for a girl! I know that when and if my youngest girl needs to make the switch to contacts, I will be there to support her and cheer her on.
Thanks to the people of Baush + Lomb I had the extreme honour of presenting an interview question to Kaylyn Kyle , the Canadian Women National Team Olympic and Pan Am Games Medalist, who’s journey with contacts we have been following! In the following clip you hear my burning question answered. You should really watch, not just to find out what I asked, but also because Kaylyn Kyle says the name of my blog and makes me feel all famous and stuff.

Bausch and Lomb disposable contacts…might give them a try. One of my friends wears them and says they are the best ever. I have worn glasses for years and am so tired of the hastle of not only tryng to keep them clean but of wearing them during sports activities. These just might be the answer for me!

I agree that it is always so important to instill confidence in our daughters. Being the mother of two very successful young women I would like to think that part of their success comes from confidence we instilled in them as young children.
