You walk into a store and are greeted by the general manager. The same one who is always there. She’s nice enough. Wears jeans and sweaters to work. It’s not a fancy place. She’s not overly friendly, but whatever, that’s her issue. Or is it?
Maybe she has her bitch on because she doesn’t realize that every single time she meets with a new client she ends up frustrated. Why you ask? Maybe because each encounter she begins she is not putting her best face forward, she is putting this face forward: (err or one very close to it!)
When this Mimi Mama puts on her face in the morning, it includes about 12 coats of iridescent blue eye shadow and some wicked long Mimi style eyelashes. To say her make-up is distracting from well…everything, is only to tell the truth! So here is my question; Where are her girlfriends? Where is her Mother? Isn’t there someone in her life that can take her to MAC and get her set up to put her best face forward? Or am I just that far out of the loop, is this much blue making a come back?
Ever had a friend with make-up stuck in the 80s? (or an episode of Drew Carey) What did you do? Clearly I don’t know this women so I smile, nod and keep my mouth shut, but if this was your friend or colleague would you steer her away from the 80’s and towards the new millennium? Enquiring minds want to know!

in the mid 90’s a manager of mine had this type of makeup it was even out of fashion then. Just odd to see a young professional wearing that type of makeup. Since then she has changed her style and looks so much calmer and respectful

I would most definitely steer a friend away from the 80s makeup! Leave the 80s where they belong (in the 80s)
Victoria Ess says
Haha I would give anything to have a visual of the woman you encountered!

🙂 It would depend on how well I knew her. Would she expect what I had to say? I am not out to hurt others and make them feel less about themselves if they are not ready to hear it.

I don’t have a friend like this….but your Manager lady has a twin who works at Kohls in my ‘hood. Nice as heck…but the hair and makeup are mesmerizing to me!
