Standing in line at the grocery store my last impulse purchase of the week is always one of those fabulous glossy magazines. Or it used to be. As of late, that impulse purchase has been put on hold, not just because I couldn’t justify the extra $4.00 to $8.00 plus for a magazine, but because more often then not, that poor magazine always ended up only half read! Misplaced, spilled on, tossed aside, eventually turned into crafts, a sad end to the beautiful, wonderful, gossipy, newsy, goodness!
Enter Next Issue Canada! Suddenly not just one beautiful magazine at my fingertips, but hundreds of different magazines all right there, available any time I want them. With a quick download of the Next Issue Canada app I have discovered a brand new world, and found some me time in unexpected places.
After a quick trip to https://www.nextissue.ca/ I downloaded my 30 day free trial and had my pick of hundreds of magazines on BOTH my phone and my IPad. Brilliant. Do you know how many magazines you suddenly have the urge to read when they are all there right in front of you?
Today while I waited for my dear daughter to get out of dance class I wasn’t sitting there in that loud crazy waiting room, I was whisked away checking out the “6 Trips That Will Change Your Life”! YUP! Page 74 of the February 2014 Coastal Living Magazine had me dreaming of the stunning beaches of Greece, the jazzy music filled streets of New Orleans, and maybe even learning how to surf in Costa Rica.
Conde Nest Traveler then had me dreaming about the World’s Best Hotels. Hello! Hotel snob here! This magazines annual roundup of the world’s very best hotels, resort and cruise lines have left me making a brand new dream list of travel destinations!
Later on while Hubby watched some sport with sticks, I was sitting in front of a warm and cozy fire checking out “Sunset” magazine. Are you familiar with Sunset? With features like “24 Best Place to live and work” , “Ask A Local” (in this issue featuring Hollywood) and even some drool worthy weeknight recipes in their “Food & Drink” section, I think it is going to become a new favourite!
Next Issue Canada has all my must have favourites too! I am always been drawn into the styling of Oprah! This month, she lists her Great Buys Under $100.00 Sixteen affordable ways to greet spring in style. Oh spring how I miss you, and Oprah how I ADORE your choice of printed dress from thelimited.com for $98. I also think you are spot on; orange square bags are going to be hot this season!!
Fighting the winter blahs like I am? HGTV has a magazine for that! Sort of. I am crushing on their latest issue giving us ideas for “easiest ever makeovers” and “the house of easy-to imitate ideas”. It is simply the best decorating article I have seen in months!! An entire house that has been re-done with quick and easy to duplicate ideas for us folks at home. I adore the magnet art wall. I could see me doing two of those right over my girls desks! No more tape on the walls? Winning!
I have simply loved having all of these magazines available at my finger tips wherever I am. Downloaded on both my Ipad and my IPhone I am never without a good read! Want to know how you can check out this great deal? Then don’t be shy, tell me what you think!

I am SO jealous! I signed up only to find out that I can’t view the magazines on my computer. It is only for tablets (which I don’t have) or computers with Windows 8 (I have a Mac). I was so disappointed because this is such a good idea and I was looking forward to using it 🙁
The customer service rep that I spoke to said that they are working with Apple for an app to work on Mac so there’s hope for me; just not right now.
As jealous as I am, I’m glad that you’re enjoying it 🙂
Stephanie says
Oh I am so sorry to hear you can’t access it YET! It really is a fabulous idea and service so I’m sure that customer service rep must be right. They will want to make it available to the Mac too!
