I just blew my family’s socks off. Even better, my Husband just called me Ahh..mazing. How did I accomplish this nearly impossible feat? I got my Martha Stewart on and baked up some magic in my brand new Hamilton Beach Pizza Maker! Yup, I made Pizza Dough Cinnamon Buns, in my Pizza Maker!
A couple of weeks ago I received the Hamilton Beach Pizza Maker to take for a test drive. Besides being pretty, love the red, this little beauty takes no time to pre-heat, cooks up to 40 per cent faster, and is up to 52 per cent more energy efficient than your kitchen oven.
The Pizza Maker has proven to be the perfect way to cook up frozen pizzas. Even better for the fresh and ready pizzas from our local gourmet deli. But my hands down new family favourite is what I have decided to call Cheater Cinnamon Buns.
Want to know how I did it? Of course you do!
What you will need:
Fresh Pre-Made (ready made) Pizza Dough (I get mine from Remark)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter-softened
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 white sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Icing:
1 cup powdered/icing sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Spray your round (included) cooking pan generously with non stick cooking spray.
Sprinkle your counter with flour and spread out pizza dough.
(humming an Italian tune optional)
Evenly spread entire surface of pizza dough with unsalted butter.
Combine sugars and cinnamon. Spread the sugar mixture over the dough.
Roll the dough as tightly as you can into a thick roll, or snake shape, as my dear daughter called it! Then cut into approximately 1 1/2 inch pieces.
Place on cooking pan.
Bake on level “3” for approximately 12 minutes! (You can watch them bake and rotate in the magic window!)
Icing:
Combine icing sugar, vanilla and 2 tablespoons of milk.
Stir until desired consistency. I wanted to be able to drizzle my icing across my cinnamon buns so added extra milk to thin the icing until it ran off my spoon.
Optional: While your cinnamon buns are baking, toast up some pecan halves or walnuts in the oven. Add on top of your finished product.
After the ding!! Carefully open the top of your pizza maker, using an oven mitt, and remove your insanely easy and delish cinnamon buns!! Ice as desired, impress the heck out of your family and enjoy!

I think we would do pizza too. I would try it with some chicken and broccoli…for some reason that is my favourite combination for toppings.

With only 2 of us to cook for now I try to find ways not to use the oven; this would be perfect.
