I have been struggling with a post for about three days. I start it, get distracted and stop. I start it, lose focus and stop. I start it, well you get the idea. It is just not happening. So here is a list of ten things I’m doing instead of getting that post done. In other words, I am never going to hit that deadline.
1) Check the MLS listing’s for any fabulous houses in the area for my sister to buy. It’s important to be helpful.
2) Troll the internet for puppies. I have fallen in love more times this week then I care to admit. I have no excuse for this. None. I just love puppies and miss my dog.
3) Call the last five girlfriends who called me. Hey, it’s rude not to return phone calls.
4) Floss my teeth. Healthy teeth are important, and I’m all kinds of afraid of the Dentist.
5) Bake cookies.
6) Throw in a load of laundry so I will fell like I accomplished something today,
7) Make a list of everything I have to get done. (because that is super productive)
8) Scratch a couple of things off above mentioned list, so I feel better about me. pathetic
9) Check Facebook, twitter, and Instagram. Hey, social media is my job. Justify!
10) Complain about how much work I have to do.
Huh. Maybe if I just sat and focused for an hour I could just knock that stupid post out and not be so stressed, but then…… there wouldn’t be cookies.
Long live the Queen.

I joined a Procrastinators Club once. The meetings kept getting postponed.

Procrastination…ahhh I totally know what you mean. Happens often enough 😉

I can relate to your situation. When I was in university and had a paper due, I often found that I Really REALLY felt like cleaning my room. Of course once the paper was finally finished I no longer had any desire to clean anything! I still often would rather do anything except the one thing that has to be done NOW.

Yep, distractions are a killer!

LOL I totally get distracted like that, usually when I am on a deadline though. Maybe if I made a list it would help me to get more organized and one track. Have to give it a try…

I blame procrastination on the horrible weather we had this winter!!!

Hehe, loved the list! I love that you added your justifications for them too! I procrastinate quite a bit too… I find that creating a prioritized list of things or a schedule to really helps!

Good for you for posting such a public list! That is one way to get things going. At work all weekend (erg!) but I will stop procrastinating at work and actually get more work done 😛

Love this post! Makes me feel a better about myself when my own things don’t get done- not guilty by association!

lol, this is me on a daily basis. At least when you procrastinate, you’re still productive.. so there is definitely THAT! 🙂 I have a hard time focusing on the things I should be doing, but no problem doing other things, haha. And like you said… cookies! Who doesn’t love cookies? 🙂

I’m going to help you out here.. let’s blame the weather!!!!!
I’ve been the same & normally I’m pretty good about getting things done, but these past 3 days are like I’m running in extra slow motion. No energy, no desire. I start then stop then decide I need a break from starting and stopping.. lol
C”mon Spring!
