Located at 5875 Airport Road, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel and Suites is a stones through from the Pearson International Airport. Many rooms have a view of the airport right out their windows! This is a popular place to stay the night before that early morning flight and for business people on their way in and out of Toronto. My stay this past week had me at the Hilton for a very different reason, the very last dance competition of the season.
Originally my family of four was booked into the hotel for two nights with adjoining rooms. A set of Queen Beds in one room, a King bed with the option for a rollaway bed for the other. Unfortunately upon check in I quickly discovered the Hilton was able to take my reservation, they were just not able to keep this reservation. The reservation they had for me? Two King Bed Rooms…on different ends of the floor.
The front desk staff wanted to help me, tried to help me, but could not accommodate a request for adjoining rooms. Nor could they find me a rollaway bed. Also of note; despite what the almighty central booking number will tell you, due to fire regulations, the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel and Suites does not have rollway’s . This hotel was overbooked with regular travellers plus the aforementioned dance competition. My eventual solution and hot travel tip of the day, when booking into the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel and Suites during the weekdays with your family in tow, consider upgrading to a suite. For just $40.00 more than the cost of a regular room I went from a room with Two Queen Beds…
…to a room with a King Bed, a Queen size pull out sofa bed, included internet, breakfast for my family of four, and access to the Executive Lounge which offers complimentary evening hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks from 6-8pm each evening. In the end the reservation debacle saved me money!
After finally settling into our suite, the rest of our stay was pleasant and seamless. Our room, tucked down at the end of the hall, was quiet and very clean. The bathroom was spacious and well lit. Following dance competitions each evening we were able to spread out across the suite with Hubby and I at one end, and our girls enjoying their own area with their own Television and space at the other.
Need a bite to eat? There is the usual room service fare, or you can check out the Hotel Restaurant Bliss. We enjoyed dinner there one evening and were pleasantly surprised with the wide variety of options and quality of food. The included hot and cold buffet breakfast was served in the same location and included something to please everyone. Hot foods ranged from bacon, scrambled eggs, and oatmeal to eggs benedict, while cold foods were the usual food choices, muffins, bagels, yogurts and toasts. Well done!
PS Tim Horton’s is but a short five minute walk away!
My conclusion; a great place to stay before catching a flight or at a dance competition! If staying with your family consider that upgrade to an Executive Suite, just be sure to call the front desk directly before you leave to confirm your reservation. This one is SassyModernMom approved!

What a great tip upgrading to an Executive Suite is, I would never have expected it to be that reasonable a price for the upgrade.

The suite looks just awesome!! I had that problem myself, but in Niagra booked online for a family of four and we got there and the room had only one bed and so small you couldn’t even open the door all the way, was not a happy camper, and no we did not stay there but lost my money, but I learned the hard way
