A week of revelations, what I’m really thinking about as I stumble through life in the Suburbs. This is just the way it is…
*All days in the Suburbs require coffee. Some days require wine.
*I will sneak left over Easter Eggs and not harbour one moments guilt about it. Well, not too much guilt. Don’t tell, K?
*Who ever came up with the saying “Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.” is an idiot. Had they not heard of hot buttered popcorn, chocolate cake, lobster, cheesecake, or fresh from the oven cookies?
*The writers of the Young and The Restless are clean out of material. I think story lines are being repeated and old cast members keep coming back as ghosts, or ghost type people.
*The drop off and pick up zone at my child’s school will always make me feel quite stabby. Seriously people, it says no parking, so don’t freakin park there! Drop and go and make room for the woman raging behind you in her SUV.
*Senior Citizens and Toddlers – If either of them tell you they need a washroom. They mean immediately.
*Nothing is better than hearing the sound of your children laugh through breezy open windows. Please, please Mother Nature…bring on that summer weather.
*My family will never master the art of changing a roll of toilet paper. Like, ever.
Huh. See what you can learn in a week? What were your revelations?

The toilet roll with my 2 boys, and husband…….Never or leave on top?
Sandy says
LOL! There are days where I feel stabby, and I’m not a mom!! Keep drinking the vino. 🙂
Alexis AKA MOM says
Yeah never understood the skinny saying. Lord knows I got to be so big because of those tasty treats … lol. NOW it’s just finding the balance between the two. … yup still working on that thought!

Good for you and insisting that ppl follow the rules for parking and dropping off kiddos at school. I should be as courageous as you with what goes on here.
Stephanie says
Update on that school drop off! There have been so many complaints about the parents not using it properly that a letter came home to address those issues! I sure hope it works!
Victoria Ess says
I can totally relate to the toilet paper revelation and it seems like many of your other readers can to! Don’t… Understand… It….
Stephanie says
I was amazed that the TP seems to be a problem in every house! LOL At least we know we are not alone!
Lynda Cook says
I hear ya about the toilet paper, you can have it sitting right out in the open and no one knows how to put it on the roller, and yes the suburbs need coffee..lol and a glass or two of wine!
Stephanie says
I think the Suburbs are fueled b coffee and wine 🙂
diane says
My weekly revelations feel more like fuzzy little thoughts, need more coffee.
The big thought this week is: remembering how good the tiny moments are, that’s always the stuff that gets thought of in later years.
Had a peanut butter cookie at work last night, it was awesome, truly.
I’ve stopped putting milk in my coffee and put a shot of whipped cream & cinnamon on top instead.
This weekend looks promising, warm, and sunny; hope you get some of that.

I adore your fuzzy thoughts and yet want to curse you at the same time! Whipped cream and cinnamon on your coffee? Adding that to my grocery list!

for a second i missed the comma between lobster and cheesecake and was thinking about how that might taste…ha….and def love the sound of the kids laughter….
Stephanie says
LOL I bet there is a Lobster Cheesecake out there somewhere!
Secret Agent Woman says
My 17 year old still doesn’t change the roll of toilet paper. I assume you don’t learn that until you have a home of your own and you have no choice.
In my book every day requires coffee, wine and chocolate.
Stephanie says
I think have to let the TP thing go. It’s just not worth worrying about, I mean I have other, bigger issues to deal with, like how I’m going to get these girls to put their dishes IN the dishwasher not on the counter beside it:)
Stacie says
I DETEST the people who park in the no parking zones at school pick ups? I mean, if you need to park, use the PARKING LOT. Right?
Oh much better! Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!
Stephanie says
You are so welcome! You can’t let those rants build up 🙂
Deborah Pucci says
Believe me I would love to be thin again but nothing tastes as good as the items you mentioned! I’m working on losing weight and it doesn’t taste so great right now. My husband has mastered the TP roll. Nothing better than the laughter of children……
Stephanie says
I am so sick of salad!! I “may” have rewarded myself yesterday for eating well all week by doing some online shopping! HA!
Jule says
Bwhahah You are so right! When the toddler has to go, he has to go!
Stephanie says
There is nothing more stressful then driving a toilet training child and have them proclaim that they have to GO!
Busy Bee Suz says
HA HA. I get SO many of these. You stay stabby. I say shank!
XO
Stephanie says
HAHA We are so tough 🙂
Kat says
I hear you; bring on that nice weather! Sadly, my kids are clueless as to how the toilet paper roll is changed too. I’ve failed somewhere along the way……
What I’ve learned? NHL playoff hockey is so frickin’ stressful to watch! Give me some of that wine 🙂
Stephanie says
LOL I hear you on the NHL game, my Hubby is losing his MIND! 🙂
