I’ve just returned from a four day stay at the CasaMagna Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa by Marriott. A mid size hotel set right on the beach, and a mere 7 minutes drive from the airport. Nestled between the Sierra Madre Mountains and Banderas Bay, the CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa proudly holds a spot as one of the Top 10 Resorts in Mexico’s Pacific Riviera according to Condé Nast Traveler. Puerto Vallarta is paradise for those seeking beach time, warm weather, and days packed with spectacular adventure.
When we arrived at the Marriott we were ushered through a large open air lobby speckled with unique artwork to our seamless check in process.
It was hard not to be distracted by the ocean scented air, and the beautiful mountain view around every corner.
This 4 Diamond luxury Puerto Vallarta resort features newly decorated guestrooms with luxurious bedding, contemporary bathrooms, and new decor with Mexican-inspired colors and patterns. Our room was well laid out, welcoming and had a comfortable King size bed with a view of the ocean.
The suite was quite large and contained a seating area complete with a work space and couch. We could adjust our own room temperature with ease, there were outlets that were easy to access on both sides of the bed, to charge our phones and laptops, and overall found the room on the 7th floor to be very quiet.
After a full day of in the sun and exploring, we also appreciated the flat screen TV with satellite reception, and excellent wifi signal which was quite strong all over the resort. Wifi packages could be purchased at check in or from wireless device right from your room.
The spacious balcony was the perfect place to enjoy this stunning view over the pool and ocean.
The room had ample closet space, enough hangers for two, and a large digital safe big enough for a small laptop, cellphones, wallets and your passports.
The bathroom was quite large and well laid out with a separate powder room area. There was fantastic lighting and a large shower. There was a small selection of shampoo and conditioner but I would also recommend bringing your own.
If you are traveling with children, families can be accommodated in one of the many adjoining suites.
Our room at the CasaMagna Marriott was perfect for our four day stay, the only problem, four days was not long enough!!
Out front of the hotel the rough sandy beach was spotted with bright blue beach chairs and the occasional beach bed for those craving a siesta.
Sea Do’s were available for rent for the more adventurous types.
We were thrilled with the beautiful clean infinity pool and swim up pool bar. This was quite possibly the warmest pool I have ever had the pleasure of swimming in while in the Caribbean. There were plenty of lounge chairs, (no fighting for a place to sit) and there were an abundance of umbrellas for those in need of a little break from the hot Mexican sun.
Service around the pool was quick and friendly. I highly recommend the Piña colada, oh and perhaps a Corona with lime! There was also a pool side lunch menu that we took full advantage of. Do not miss the nacho chips and guacamole!
Make sure you take the time to catch a sunset, it will make you catch your breath as it sets over Banderas Bay.
My conclusion; the CasaMagna Marriot Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa is a great place to escape to, a solid value for the money, and a great place to start your next adventure with your family.
Please come back next week when How To Survive Life In The Suburbs will feature; the four unique restaurants, The Ohtli Spa, and Kids Club for ages 4-12 all available at the CasaMagna Marriot Puerto Vallarta resort and Spa!
