Right to the good stuff; this little machine packs a very big punch and is a coffee lovers dream. Creating the perfect Cafe Latte on a Monday morning, a strong Cappuccino on a Friday night, or even a Hot Chocolate with a little bit of a kick just makes life…..sweeter! The Hamilton Beach Cappuccino & Espresso Maker is going to be the star of my Holiday Meal! (um, next to the turkey of course!)
Here are a couple of fabulous recipes I have deemed must try!
Found on the Food Network, and my newest obsession; a Caramel Cinnamon Latte:
You will need:
- 3/4 cup espresso (or strong coffee)
- 1/2 cup half & half
- 2 tsps caramel flavored syrup
- 11/2 tsps flavoured syrup (cinnamon)
- whipped cream (for garnish)
- cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
In a serving glass or mug, combine the hot espresso, half-and-half, caramel syrup, and cinnamon syrup. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with whipped cream and cinnamon stick. Serve immediately. You’re welcome!!
Also!
Adapted from Paula Dean is the Caramel and Apple Spice Latte:
You will need:
- 3/4 cup hot espresso
- 1/3 cup half-and-half
- 2 – 3 generous teaspoons of caramel ice cream topping
- Dash of apple pie spice
- Whipped cream, for garnish
In a serving glass or mug, combine the hot espresso, half-and-half, caramel topping, and apple pie spice. Stir to combine and garnish with lots of whipped cream!
So how do you choose just one! You don’t! My plan for Christmas this year? To set up a little Cappuccino & Espresso bar for my guests right in the kitchen! A place for guests to gather and create there very own after dinner concoctions. All you need to get started is some great espresso beans or pods and some creativity.
I’ve added cinnamon sticks, candy canes, caramel flavour and syrup, and marshmallows. What’s not shown? Caramel ice cream and serving spoons, chocolate milk (to make epic hot chocolate) white milk for frothing, heavy cream and a little bottle of Baileys Irish Cream! Everything your guests could possibly need to create the coffee beverage of their dreams!
As host, all I have to do is keep re-stocking the supplies, and guide your guests in the process of using this fancy machine. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it’s worth the effort. First up, select your cup and line it under the spouts.
Select your ground espresso beans (or pod) and tamp it down.
Insert the handle to the left, and turn to the centre.
Press “on” and watch the magic happen!
How you finish your coffee beverage is up to you! I chose to froth some milk.
Fill my cup and then finish it all off with just a little (ha) whip cream and caramel sauce! If I may say so myself, the results were ah-mazing.
YUMMO!
