“No thank you. No thank you. I not leaving. I’m going to stay here and play with my house!” These are the words you would have heard if you had been at my house this weekend. Who was protesting “No, No, NO”, and strongly requesting to stay and play just a little big longer with the Laugh & Learn® Smart Stages™ Home? My SassyNephew. This amazing toy by Fisher Price had captured his attention and earned his resounding stamp of approval!
The Laugh & Learn® Smart Stages™ Home’s is just his size!! Geared to children ages 6 – 36 months, this play house is two sided, loaded with buttons, switches, lights and songs, and offers a doorway to open and crawl right through!
A toy that educates, grows with your child, and holds the attention of a toddler? This is a toy worth learning about. Many of our houses may be equipped with solar energy or radiant floor heating, this smart house is even better, it has Smart Stages Technology. Smart Stages™ technology, is an exciting new way to change the learning content of the toy as baby grows. Every baby develops at his/her own pace, and Smart Stages™ gives you the ability to select the stage that’s best for your child. The toys offer a variety of developmentally appropriate songs, phrases and sounds within the levels of play. All you have to do is slide the switch or enter baby’s age for automatic level changes. This means this wee house grows with the needs of your child, fostering development and creativity, and an added bonus, you have to buy fewer toys!
Here’s what my SassyNephew thought about the Laugh & Learn® Smart Stages™ Home:
The mailbox was perfect.
The door way was just the right size for opening, closing, and crawling through, and he never tired of the doorbell.
There were so many buttons! Buttons are good! Colourful lights dance along to songs and phrases while on the reverse side you can find a toggle light switch, spinning clock hands, shape sorting, and three light-up computer buttons.
His favourite thing of all, the music! Featuring 75+ sing-along songs, tunes and phrases and three levels of play, there are always fresh songs, phrases and sounds to match your little one’s age and stages.
My SassyNephew quickly discovered the joy of a home that was built for his tiny hands. He had a great time sorting the mail, putting the shapes back where they belong, and rocking out to some of his favourite melodies! I loved that while he was entertained, he was learning. Bonus, this little house doesn’t take up a ton of floor space. This one is a keeper!
Available both on-line and at Toys R Us and retails for $124.99.
