Two kids, one cat, one puppy and an activity schedule that just won’t quit means this years Valentine’s Day is going to look a little bit different than years gone by. SassyHubby and I don’t go way overboard for this Hallmark Holiday, but we do always make time to re-connect, slow down, check in and celebrate that we are cruising through this crazy world together. On tap for the big Valentine’s Day celebration this year? A little sushi, a lot of chocolate, perhaps a teeny bit of champagne and of course some sloppy romantic comedy. Last year I gave you my picks for the Top Romantic Movies Of All Time! This year, I will help you find a new flick to watch. Here are my picks for top 5 Romantic Comedies of 2014. Why romantic comedies? Because sometimes life needs a little laughter!
1. Blended
Starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. (Confession; I adore every movie these two do together!) After a disastrous blind date, single parents Lauren (Barrymore) and Jim (Sandler) agree on only one thing: they never want to see each other again. But when they each sign up separately for a fabulous family vacation with their kids, they are all stuck sharing a suite at a luxurious African safari resort for a week.
2. What If
Confession: I may now have a crush on Daniel Radcliffe! There is a lot more to this boy than Harry Potter. Wallace, who is burned out from a string of failed relationships, forms an instant bond with Chantry, who lives with her long time boyfriend. Together, they puzzle out what it means if your best friend is also the love of your life.
3. Sex Tape
Clearly this couple doesn’t work in social media! LOL Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel, two kids and not time, get in more than a little trouble when they discover a very private sex tape they made was not deleted, but instead ended up in the “cloud”. (proving once again that nobody really understands the cloud!) Their mission, to get it back.
4. That Awkward Moment
A little Zac Efron is the only reason this movie made my list. Zac (Jason) and three friends have reached a tipping point in their relationships. It’s that awkward moment where they have to decide to either end it, or decide it’s true love. A kinda cute date night movie with an R rating. This one gave the SassyHubby a couple of laughs.

5. The Best Of Me
So this one is not a romantic comedy, but it just had to be on my list because, come on, Nicholas Sparks!
A pair of former high school sweethearts reunite after many years when they return to visit their small hometown. Seeing each other again after 20 years apart reignites the love they’ve never forgotten.
So there you have it, my top five Romantic Comedy Movies from 2014, all Valentine’s Day approved! Admittedly I found during my round up that pickings this year were kinda slim! Did I miss any masterpieces that you think should be added to this list? Wishing you all a little romance this weekend! Mwah! xoxo
