I’m at it again, planning that next vacation! This is my happy place. There are so many details to nail down before one can jet off to places unknown; the timing has to work with kids busy schedules, the hotel must be in the perfect location, flights must be confirmed, parking at the airport has to be organized, and I have to find someone to look after my fur babies. The list goes on and on. The funny thing? I love the planning! I love all of it. From sitting down with my calendar (and perhaps a glass of wine) and plotting how we will find the time to make this next family vacation work, to the running around to the pharmacy to pick up all those little travel essentials. I mean c’mon, shopping! Who doesn’t love an excuse to pick up some of their very favourite things before a fab trip away?
There are some things I just can’t leave home without. There are the obvious items such as Gravol, Advil, gum and a good sunscreen. Then there are the fun things one simply must have to make the trip complete! So without further ado, here it is; My Top Five ~ Must Have ~ Travel Essentials!
*My Schick Intuition Razor.
I love that when you pack this pretty little number there’s no need for additional shaving gel. This razor system lathers, shaves and moisturizes while you shave. So convenient, so smart and leaves those legs beach ready! PS this one smells like coconut. Perfection!
*Travel size hand lotion. My favourite right now is EOS hand lotion.
Airports, plane rides and hotels leave my hands dry. I might be a little bit obsessed with the EOS Cucumber scent, and adore the sleek and slim packaging.
*Wet Ones! Not just for those travelling with babies.
I will not travel without Wet Ones Antibacterial Hand Wipe Travel Packs. Yes, I’m the crazy lady sitting beside you on the plane wiping off my daughters folding tray, but I’m also the gem who will lend you a wipe when you need to wash your own hands and theirs no soap left in the ladies room. You’re welcome!
*Lip Balm
Have to protect the pretty! So why not get a fabulous lip balm that not only moisturizes but also contains SPF. Nivea with SPF 30 is one of my all time favourites. I don’t hit the beach or the pool without it.
*Magazines Perhaps not a travel essential, well unless you end up with a big fat flight delay, or need to be distracted from some horrible turbulence, or just need to know if Jennifer Aniston is finally happy. So wait. Maybe it really is a necessity!
