*There is power in unplugging for a few days.
*It takes a tween about 30 minutes to spend $10.00 at a souvenir shop. Decisions are hard when there is so much pretty to pick from.
*Nothing truly costs a dollar at the dollar store, even in cottage country.
*I will eat chocolate covered almonds until I feel sick, and you know, to save the healthier stuff for the kids.
*Watching an 80 year old man check out a $300.00 order at the Grocery store, having to adjust his glasses between every item to read all the wee numbers, lands the SassyHubby and I somewhere between awestruck and hilarity.
*Senior Citizens, Toddlers and Puppies– If any of them tell you they need a washroom. They mean immediately.
*New car technology is awesome, until you set off your own car alarm in a crowded parking lot and can’t turn the damn thing off. Note: When you are a tall blonde with a couple of kids, apparently you can tell the aforementioned passing crowd “It really is my car, honest” and they all believe you. Shouldn’t someone have suspected I was a crook?
*Fireplaces rock and you can never have enough s’mores.
*Cottage life, unplugging, walking through the woods and dreaming near the water, is good for the soul.
*No matter what kind of vacations you take, or where you escape too, they are never long enough. That is my truth.

I agree entirely, vacations are never long enough. I would however add pregnant women to the list of who needs the bathroom quickly. Love the photo, looks like a really relaxing place to be 🙂

Going to the cottage can be a relief when you’re getting away from it all and there’s nothing but peace and quiet.

Hi Stephanie, Thanks so much for coming to my blog. Hope you will continue to come.. I am enjoying your blog… Is that your Gazebo–on the lake???? Home or Vacation home? That is gorgeous… If that is your Cottage Life, I’ll take it!!!!!!!!
Funny car alarm story… Think we all have done that. Another thing I have done is to hit the alarm button JUST to FIND my car!!!!!! ha ha
Overindulgence is ‘needed’ at times… I just have to watch what I eat the next day!!!! ha…. Hubby and recently brought home a piece of White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake and shared it…Oink Oink…. ha
Thanks again for visiting.
Hugs,
Betsy
