It’s been one of those weeks where I’ve felt like a bit of a less than average Mama. I’m not Martha Stewart, I’m certainly not heading up the Brady Bunch or the Partridge Family over here, but I am doing my best. So when I saw a post over at Airing My Dirty Laundry, One Post At A Time inviting me to link up and relax, yell out that “It’s OKAY!!” I knew I just had to play along! So without further ado…it’s OKAY…
~That my kiddos will be eating leftovers tonight, hey, it means they had a decent meal last night.
~To be enjoying my salad and pretending it’s healthy even though it’s slathered in dressing, rich cheese and nuts.
~ To be ready for the weekend already, even though it’s only Tuesday.
~ To be missing Mother’s Day with my Mama so I can go to the Disney Social Media Mom’s Conference with my family at DisneyWorld. I promise to make it up to you Mom!
~ To forgive myself for forgetting the cat’s birthday.
He’s a cat. I’m sure he was okay with getting his Birthday gift a day late. It’s my SweetGirl who was less than impressed with the over sight but hey, she has a calendar too!
~ To be a little bit proud that my Great Dane pup is thriving and weighs over 110 lbs now. I wish it was cool to be impressed every time I put on a few extra pounds.
~To be just fine with my girls wearing mismatched socks. If they are clean, that’s now good enough for me.
~ To quietly nibble on some Purdy’s chocolate tonight after the kids go to bed, I mean, I ate salad for lunch.
Oh that does feel good, it really is okay.

I’ve been definitely there when it comes to one of those days. When I can’t take it anymore I go into the bathroom, turn on the shower and scream into a pillow, but that’s just because I’m not real good at keeping my cool. As for missing the cats birthday by a day, I realized earlier today that I missed my fur baby/dogs birthday by 9 days and I feel awful so he’ll get an extra treat.

I loved this one “To be a little bit proud that my Great Dane pup is thriving and weighs over 110 lbs now. I wish it was cool to be impressed every time I put on a few extra pounds.” and I am totally behind you on that one 🙂

Kitty doesn’t look too pleased….I hope he’s forgiven you now 😉 and don’t know the salad, it’s much tastier with that yummy dressings and cheese!

Great post, we’ve all been there. I loved the comment “stressed” spelled backwards spells “desserts” – seems like a good solution to stress to me 🙂
