Oh it’s that time again. Time to get some stuff off my chest, put it out there, and simply vent a little. After all telling the truth and letting it go has to be cheaper than therapy right? Besides…this venting thing, it’s kind of a tradition here at How To Survive Life In The Suburbs.
*Today is Friday. My to do list is a mile long and yet I truly struggled to get out of bed. If it hadn’t been for the fact that there was coffee and a freshly baked muffin waiting for me downstairs I might still be under the covers. I don’t know what’s going on but lately, mornings are kicking my ass.
*Cheese. I just can’t quit you. Cheese on chips. Cheese on crackers. Cheese on sliced apple. Even cheese on chicken. Oh my yum. Is there an intervention group for people addicted to cheese because I think I might have a problem.
*I yelled at my DD16 yesterday. Why? Because she yelled at me first. Mature much? Good lord I need to take step back and pick my battles. There is no yelling in this house. Life is hard enough without screamers in the house.
*Related: Now I feel like sh!t and am eating, “shocking” cheese and crackers…cause that’s going to help me fit in my bathing suit next month.
*There’s good news. I’m headed to Beaches Resorts in the Turks and Caicos next month for the second Social Media On The Sand and I’m obsessed with that too. Obsessed! I love the island, the people, the conference, the hotel, the heat, the beach. Can’t wait.
Being a Suzy Sunshine..that’s just not always realistic, sometimes it’s just better to speak your truth and know you’re not alone! Feel free to tell me all about what’s driving you bananas or making you heave the heavy sigh this week.
Hope you all have a fabulous, healthy and adventurous weekend.
Mwah!

Funny how you feel so good after a good rant !

I’ve made it my mission to tell the truth whether it hurts or not because I’d rather be authentic instead of a lie. I also have a wicked send of humor which surprises everyone but also cracks everyone up.
Melinda Jana says
why would you ever want to quit cheese?!!! I mean it’s so delicious and amazing and hands off my cheese!!! 😛 hehehe

I’m having one of those days today where I need to vent too
Elizabeth Matthiesen says
I think it’s much better to vent once in a while rather than letting it all bottle up inside you. Venting makes others pay attention and realise (hopefully) that all is not well. Besides it makes you feel a whole lot better doesn’t it? 🙂
Anne Taylor says
Venting is always a good thing, if done in the right place and around the right people of course lol
Judy Cowan says
If you find the intervention group for Cheese eaters please let me know because it seems to be my go to food right now since I have cut junk food out 🙁

I <3 cheese!
I yelled at someone else's kid the other day. I actually shocked myself when I heard that yell come out of my mouth. The child was shocked too. The reason I yelled is because she is 5 and she yelled at me first. Very loudly, I explained to her that if she yelled at me, I would yell back. She stopped.
Deborah Pucci says
I’m never motivated to work on my list of things to do.
I am a huge fan of cheese on everything!!!
My daughter and I are best if we say hello, goodbye, have a nice day, etc. Otherwise it is a yelling match.
I wish I was heading to the beach, have a great time.
Stephanie says
I swear my “To Do’ list just keeps getting longer and longer!
Thanks for the well wishes, can’t wait to take my family to the beach 🙂
Kathy says
Doesn’t it feel good to get it out there!
Stephanie says
It really does! I can breathe again.
Huguette E. says
Sometimes you just need to vent. I relate on all these, except the vacation, enjoy!
Stephanie says
Venting really does make it soooo much better! And thanks, so looking forward to this getaway.
Cheryl says
Some times it is so hard not to yell in the house 🙁 We have to work on that here …..and can I go with you next mth??!! 🙂
Stephanie says
Sometimes yelling happens. Such is life. And yes! Pack a bag and I will meet you there 🙂
Gigi says
The rain, the never ending, damn rain! It’s been raining since Thursday a week ago and predicted to continue until Tuesday!!!! I’m about to lose my mind over here.
Cut yourself some slack regarding the yelling; it happens. Then you kiss and make up until it happens again. At their age it’s what they do and sometimes it makes us mamas mad.
Stephanie says
Thank goodness for the kiss and make-up! 🙂
