For the second year in a row I was thrilled to have received an invite to attend the coveted Social Media On The Sand event in the stunning Turks and Caicos. This event is held at Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Village and Spa at the end of October, and may be one of my favourite ways to combine a little bit of work with a whole lot of play.
Also for the second year in a row, while we were there, the inspired PR team challenged us to an Instagram throw down. To utilize the power of our Instagram accounts to help spread the beauty about the Beaches Resort and the true luxury family fun you can have there. I will admit, at first I hesitated. I did this Instagram Scavamger Hunt last year and didn’t know if my followers would want to see 30 more pictures of this tropical locale, but as I started to read, began to play I realized I couldn’t resist. The Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos is a beautiful place to visit with my Hubby and two teen girls, and maybe I was missing some hidden secrets? I took the challenge and jumped in, now looking back through those old photos I’m so happy that I did. Here are just a few of the reasons why I’m so blessed to have checked the Beaches Turks and Caicos Resort Village and Spa off my “Must Do” travel bucket list.
This beach, it stretches on forever.
The different villages you can choose to stay in; including the Caribbean, French, Village and our home for the week Key West.
Oh and the pools! If you promise not to tell anyone, I will let you in on a little secret. The pool in the Key West Village is my new favourite. It’s warm, quiet, and has an ocean view! It’s a pinch me am I dreaming kind of pool!
Drinks anyone? When at Beaches Resort you of course have to try the mudslide, the daiquiri and my new favourite of all time, the Hummingbird – a blend of Strawberry and Baileys that just shouldn’t make sense but it is iced perfection! Do I need to mention that everything, including the drinks is all included?
The ocean, that is truly this blue, in the Turks and Caicos inspires you to explore, and play in the waves like you used to when you were kids. *This makes you a very cool Mama. (at least for a minute)
And Elmo? Well that cute little guy is everywhere.
Yes, Cookie Monster too. (I kind of have a thing for the Cookie Monster, don’t worry SassyHubby is well aware)
We may have started this trip as a workcation, all business with a side of fun, but we ended it with a life long goal.
To travel more, worry less and spend more time with these people. Our little people…not only our reason to smile, not just our motivation to explore the world, but our reason to do everything…better.
I can’t wait to see where we end up next!

So good to hear about Beaches Turks & Caicos- it looks breathtaking. We had a wonderful trip to Beaches Ocho Rios and Negril with a sneaky day at Sandals too. Snap – hummingbird was my favourite cocktail from the resort too!
