I didn’t get the laundry done.
The coffee went cold.
Posts were not written.
Floors are still dirty.
Groceries were not purchased.
Dinner will be take out. Again.
Phone calls were not returned.
Even the bed didn’t get made.
But….
Was I frustrated? Annoyed? Upset? Was this day a total loss??
No.
I did see my girl play volleyball.
Managed to squeeze in a movie with some very important people.
We baked a cake.
We ate the cake.
We ate dinner together as a family. A minor miracle in the suburbs.
Even had a good chat and a driving lesson.
So this day that I thought was lost, really wasn’t. What could be better then time with your family. Really listening, making sure they know they were heard, loved cherished. The clutter will still be there tomorrow, the groceries can be purchased another day, the phone calls, the work, the world…it can simply wait.

When we all have bad days and it’s amazing how we’re able to cope without going homicidal sometimes. But when a couple of good things happen the bad sometimes melts away

It is so good to see what is important in each day regardless of it`s schedules.

Great attitude – it’s often better to focus on what did get done than on what you didn’t do. Maybe beside my To-Do List that didn’t get checked off, I should make another list of what DID get done – things that I didn’t schedule but are as or more important than the ones I had planned to do.

So very true—everything other than family & friends in life is just ” stuff”

Made my day, just to remember when it goes out of control, no regrets & more care.
