What do a few confessions, a dash of TMI and a touch of self reflection add up to? My truths.
For whatever reason, today it felt important to pour my heart out and let you all in on what’s going on in my head, and behind my door here in this little corner of the suburbs. Here are a list of just a few truths that make me…me.
- My husband is my best friend. He and my SassySis may be the only people in this world who know the “real” me and who enjoy and embrace my particular brand of crazy.
- I love my children above all else, they are my true joy. Footnote: Heaven help anyone who hurts those kids.
- I dream of showing my children the world…one road trip, hotel stay and airplane ride at a time.
- I must be part gypsy. I am truly always dreaming and planning that next vacation.
- I love to write, but finding the time to write from the heart is a new struggle.
- I adore the way the world looks through the lens of a camera.
- I am a crier. Romantic comedies, books, sweet stories, even a well done commercial can get the water works flowing.
- I have a good heart and a generous spirit. I believe in being kind, always.
- I do not tolerate liars nor appreciate gossip. I don’t participate in it, and truly don’t understand people who do. Life is better when lived in a drama free zone.
- I think women, and now know young girls, are often cruel to each other. Wouldn’t the world be a better place if we were all sweet to one another?
- I have had my heart broken and lived to tell the tale.
- I adore cookies or muffins or even leftover cake with a piping hot coffee for breakfast. Pastries are my kryptonite.
- I know life can be hard, but that doesn’t make it any easier.
- I am slow to trust and do not easily let people into my life.
- I am blessed to have a few good friends, and really need to do a better job of seeing them more often.
- Migraines are my constant battle. The teeny silver lining, because of those horrible invisible battles, I understand the value of good health.
- I love roaring fires and quiet evenings.
- I have an addiction or two; coffee, popcorn, pretty bags and shoes!
- I’m pretty sure I was meant to live in a house on the beach. I just feel more at peace when I can see the water.
- I am striving to cherish the moment and find the joy in every day.
So there it is for all the world to see. A peek into my world as I see it today and most certainly more information than you could ever care to know! So tell me, do any of these truths strike a chord with you? Do you have any of your own you’d like to share? Sharing is caring and I want to know.

Some of my children (all adults) suffer from migraines, so I can truly sympathise with you on that point. I’ve gone through heart-break too (actually it felt like treason too) and survived.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and totally agree that life is better when lived in a drama free zone, unfortunately it isn’t always the case.

This must be why I like your blog…you and I have A LOT in common! I could have almost written this post. I think the point I most agree with is hating drama and gossip! Isn’t it everywhere??? Now that I have a tween daughter, I’m seeing it more and more. Yikes!
Lori Bosworth says
I agree that we need more kindness in the world, especially women to women, although I must admit that I find women bloggers pretty friendly. I can’t tolerate lying either!

You sound like my sister from another mister! Pastry for breakfast (or any time of day) is always a good idea! 😉

I love this idea of doing a brain dump and sharing a bit about your life! I too love to be near the water or ocean whenever I can, and better not cross this Mama’s kids! Ha! Might have to do a similar post and link back to you!

Commercials make me cry too! I think you are beautiful, inside and out, and it was nice to get to know you a little better.
