The bus didn’t show up. Again. Panic dash to get the kids to school on time.
The cat threw up in my daughters bed.
We got a note home from dance saying there is a case of head lice at the studio. (let the phantom itchiness begin and check all the heads!)
The dog won’t stop barking. Does he not know the squirrels do not understand him?
Something is burning in the bottom of the oven. It does not smell good.
My car door won’t open. It’s not frozen. It just won’t open from the outside which is loads of fun. Well at least for everyone else at the grocery store who gets to watch a 5 ft 9 women in a winter coat climb over the front seat and unlock her drivers side door from the passenger side. There may have been cursing.
The chicken I just bought at the grocery store has a truly funky smell.
That is the second “solicitor” to knock on my door tonight. Even though I have a “No Soliciting” sign up. They both started they speeches with; “Ma’am, don’t worry I’m not a solicitor.” Dude. You lost me at Ma’am.
My youngest splashed “Spray n Wash” in her eye trying to clean cat throw up off her comforter.
My oldest seems to have sprained her ankle at volleyball practise. Off to the ER we go.
Mama said there’d be days like this.
Pass the wine.
Just keeping it real here in my little corner of the suburbs.

I have had suck it up days like this.I will share one with you to cheer you up.One day I stepped out onto the doorstep to pick up an Avon book and the door locked behind me.It was lightly drizzling rain out and I was standing there in a silky kind of night gown that was quickly becoming see through the wetter it got.I had to retrieve a forty foot extension stepladder that was laying beside our house, stand it up and climb up to a second story bedroom window that thankfully I got to open.By the time I got back in I was blushing and hoping the neighbors were still in bed.LOL
Hope you have a beautiful day tomorrow! 🙂

This sounds like my life. For us it’s been the last year that has been full of so many ups and downs and challenges in our life. We just keep plugging along through it all hoping something great is right around the corner!

some days just seem to be a disaster and all I want to do is push the reset button. One time we came downstairs to pick up my son’s project that was drying on the table overnight (glue lots of glue) and as we approach we see a huge pile of cat barf -thank goodness it was inches away and not on it!

The only good thing about these kind of days is that you can look back & laugh at them—later much later !!
Cheryl Grandy says
Yes, we all have those kinds of days. If nothing else, they make for some good stories to tell someday far in the future when we’ve forgotten how bad the days actually were!
