Are you looking for adventure? Seeking a way to bond with your teens or your spouse? Excited about the prospect of seeing the world from a different angle? Maybe you love the outdoors, the fresh air, or just want to be the COOLEST parent ever. If any of these apply you need to consider Ziptrek Ecotours. Ziptrek operates worldwide, and recently we were given an incredible opportunity, to experience a guided tour with Ziptrek in Mont Tremblant. It’s one I will never forget.
INSIDER TIPS:
- Before you depart, cover yourself in bug spray. You are headed into the woods. You will be afforded the opportuity to learn about eco-tourism, the mountains, see all manner of wild life, and there will be bugs.
- If you’re a woman and have long hair, sport a low pony tail. Zip lining requires helmets, helmets require low ponies.
- Before you head out on your adventure ZipTrek offers you the opportunity to rent a GoPro. Make sure one person in your party does this. The footage you will acquire is nothing short of spell binding. From your first scream as you zip down the mountain (yes I may have screamed down every zip-turn the volume up on that video and you can hear me!), to the last zip where you kiddos are fully in the groove and actually posing for the camera as you zip side by size. You will want the GoPro footage to help you remember just how incredible this experience is. Amazing.
- If you wear contacts, you will want to wear sunglasses. Make sure those sunglasses do fit firmly to your face. At some points on the zip you are moving up to a bizzillion km/hr. This is fast. Fast is windy! You will want to be able to protect those eyes.
- Wear good walking/running shoes. There is some light (some say light…I’d say a little more like medium, work harder girl!) hiking in some places between the zips. I was thankful for my Nikes.
- On the edge about whether you can do this? You can. You must. You will regret it if you don’t. I’ve zip lined before, but I’ve never had an experience like this. I felt safe, encouraged and quite frankly, like the coolest Mom ever.
My girls are already clamouring to return, my oldest will cherish this photo forever;
Ninja Skills – level – expert.
So if you’re ready to be inspired, scream with joy, laugh until you cry and take off an an aerial adventure like no other, be sure to book a tour with ZipTrek in Mont Tremblant. We were blown away by our experience, loved our trip from the top of the mountain all the way back down to the tranquil village of Mont Tremblant, I’m already planning a return trip.
Happy flying!
