We’ve just returned from a whirlwind weekend in the mountains.
Yes, the mountains! And I have so much to tell you.
We kicked off our summer with a little adventure, a lot of fabulous food, and the very best thing of all, quality time with my family. It was the best of what luxury family travel is supposed to be.
What: A trip to Mont Tremblant.
Where: Tremblant Resort is located in the beautiful Laurentian mountains of Quebec in Canada. It offers the perfect setting for your winter vacations, your summer escapes and everything in between. There are dozens of hotel and condo choices conveniently located in the action-packed pedestrian only village. Worthy of note: It’s also very dog friendly.
When: The area of Tremblant is known for it’s world class skiing, however for this trip, we explored all the area had to offer in summer. The number of activities available is only limited by your imagination and the amount of time you have to explore! Some must try items include:
- Gondola rides up the mountain
- Restaurants galore
- Hiking and biking trails
- Pottery and T-Shirt Creation
- Exploring the Beach and Tennis Club
- Le Petit-Géant Mini-golf
- Luge
- Ziptrek Ecotours
- Summer Concerts and Entertainment
- Dune Buggy Tours
- Golf
- Cruising on Lac Tremblant
- The Casino
Of course one thing you simply must make time for, just wandering the cobblestone streets and doing nothing at all.
Who: A perfect getaway for families young and old, romantic getaways, girls weekends, golf weekends, or even a family reunion.
Why: It’s an escape unlike this family has ever tried. Tremblant offers the opportunity to go at your own pace, explore a charming village on the side of a mountain and for a moment, forget the world. We were able to have an adventure, be adrenalin junkies for a day, make some memories, and end up with an incredible story to tell. A story that goes a little bit like this:
Could you hear me scream?
This video, created by my talented youngest daughter, just begins to scratch the surface of some the amazing activities we were able to explore during our four day stay. More details to come, and so much more of Tremblant to explore. We’re already looking forward to and planning our next escape. Thanks for having us!
