It’s that time again. The sweet spot in the year where the entire summer lays before you. Ripe with promise, full of hope. We dream of sunny days at the beach, long walks in the woods, an entire season to make those memories your kids will look back on for their rest of their lives with fondness. You can picture it now; their stories begining with “I remember when I was growing up...”. No pressure, but you only get 18 summers to create beautiful memories with your kids.
It’s true, you really only have 18 summers before the pressures of College or University take hold and those Summer Bucket Lists begin to look a whole lot different. Each summer for as long as I can remember my girls and I have created a Summer Bucket List. Creating a list of dreams, tasks, must do’s for our ultimate summer. Then for the next 8 weeks we just go for it. When my girls were little this list included things like; learning how to swim with faces in the water, bubble parties and making sparkly slime. As the years flew by the lists have morphed and changed but one thing has remained the same; the idea is that we squeeze in as much into our two months of freedom as possible.
So once again, here are our ideas for the Ultimate Summer Bucket List For Teens.
I hope you can find a little inspiration here, that our list get you started for a summer that is full of joy and laughter.
Wishing you sunny days!

Great list! When skimming the list at first, I saw tattoo and thought, “What?!!”, but then quickly realized it said Henna tattoo. Marshmellows and campfire should be mandatory 🙂

Some great ideas there! I like that the suggestions include “little” things like baking cookies. The best part of summer is having time to be bored – because that’s when creativity is born.

Great ideas! I have a teen and a tween and we are working on a list of our own.
Meanwhile, I wonder if I can get away with ice cream for dinner on a Taco Tuesday? 😀

Ha! I might use this for me (about 25 years older than my teens) but I really need to remember to enjoy the little things and not stress so much! Plus our 5 year old might like some of them too 😉
