I’ve had a moment of clarity. People, you are bothering me. I don’t know if it’s because I’m over 40, if I desperately need a vacation or if it’s this freaking migraine that won’t quit, but one thing is very clear. I shouldn’t leave the house. In the course of under three hours yesterday I cursed to myself, yelled out a whole bunch of “are you kidding me’s” and very aggressively shook my head (you know ’cause that’s want Mama’s in the suburbs do when we are right ticked off). My day went a little bit like this.
As I pulled out of my drive had to make an 10 point turn with my giant SUV because my lovely neighbours were parked right at the end of my driveway again. WHY. Why must you do this? Do you WANT me to hit your car? I shook my head at you.
I waited ever so patiently as University students, in town for a summer school course perhaps, meandered through one of the busiest intersections in the city, heads down looking at their phones, not even noticing the dozens of cars desperate to make that green light. OMG people. WALK. Rude. I shook my head at them too.
Grabbed a coffee at the Timmy’s drive-thru. Pulled away. Five minutes later indulged in my first glorious sip. It was Tea, TEA! How sad. I just growled a little and made another stop.
Went to the mall and found a fab top, on sale! Woot! Purchased and left. Later discovered the anti-theft beeping tag thing was still attached? WTH how does that happen? Some snit-theft deterrent that it. Guess I have to take that fabu top back. More head shaking.
Out to the grocery store. (because I wasn’t organized enough to do my shopping on-line) As I started to pull into my spot a car full of sassy teenagers in a convertible snaked my spot? What? Are you kidding me? This isn’t Christmas time at the mall. It’s summer at the grocery store and there are a ton of spots. You girls are rude! I gave them my best “You are RUDE” face and shook my head. Scary right. I’m such a rebel.
Into the store and people are walking so slow in there. So slow. The grocery store is NOT an art gallery. Grab your cucumber and get the hell out of my way.
Picked the slowest cashier in the place, as one does, and internally stomped my feet as they called for a new bag of milk. Serenity now.
Heading home, just have to make one more stop at Home Depot first. Cut off by a dude in a pick-up with jacked up tires. Jerk. he got a honk and a glare. ‘Cause I’m about done with people for the day.
Held the door open for a little old couple at the Home Depot. They whistled right past me like I was a ghost. “You’re Welcome” I declared. I’m all kinds of salty at this point.
Out of Home Depot, home again and happy, because at this point I have decided. I think maybe, I just shouldn’t leave the house.

I hear you ! Some days I find I am really this close to punching someone or swearing at someone, (which I have done). Like when I see someone pull into the only wheelchair parking spot and then proceed to walk perfectly fine into the building, (which happens all the time) while I now have to park way out and push through the snow, ice or rain. When you’re having the worst day and then you have to suck it up and take some more. On those days I go home and get a bottle of wine and salute all the jerks in the world !

Haha….we all have those days. If I had a nickel for the times I’ve muttered, “serenity, now!” under my breath! (Don’t you find it really works?!)

Oh my, sounds like quite the day. Hope today is a better day for. And I feel you on the migraine, I have had one of those that doesn’t want to go away anytime quick either.
