Looking for a little something to do on a chilly Friday afternoon? Why not play a game with me? It’s easy, I promise. It’s confession time! I’ll get you started, all you have to do is fill in the blanks. Pick one, pick two or take on all five and tell me how you really feel about food, life, pet peeves and more. For that matter, go ahead and tell me any little thing that’s bugging you. Rant away because I want to hear about it. And as I always say, it’s cheaper than therapy!
Here we go; 5 simple confessions from the Suburbs:
5 food groups when really there should be 6? Well of course there should be six, and the sixth should obviously be chocolate.
4 things I can’t live without. My family. Migraine medicine. Coffee. Lipgloss. (and powder and eyeliner and mascara) Yup, I’m that girl and I own that.
3 things that can instantly put me in a foul mood. Rainy, cold, crap weather. Spilled coffee. When the dog pukes on the floor. It doesn’t happen very often, but have you ever seen a Great Dane puke? Shiver.
2 ridiculous pet peeves. Loud chewers (close your mouths people, it’s just not that hard). People who text and drive. Seriously, how dumb are you?
1 thing I will not put up with. Liars. Self explanatory, right?
Easy, peasey? I hope you will play along. Leave me a note in the comments or cut and paste my confession and then do your own. Don’t forget to leave me a link so I can pop by and leave you some love.
Happy Weekend!

This is a great post I’m with you on the chocolate. Foul mood = winter Pet Peeve – people who chew with their mouth open and who smack their gum. Can’t live without my pain medication
Melinda Jana says
omg I totally agree with the gum chewers. how about those crazy drivers that tail gate you during rush hour traffic?! so annoying
Chandra O'Connor says
People who are co stanly negative send my blood pressure up. But FYI sometimes when people smack it isn’t because of bad manners it’s because their tongues are wide. It’s a thing I knew someone who had that problem.

5 food groups when really there should be 6? —– Umm yeah, cheesecake and cookies should have it’s own section called “Gimme some sugar”
4 things I can’t live without. —– Family, friends, animals (especially my cats) and coffee!
3 things that can instantly put me in a foul mood. —– illnesses, pain and bills
2 ridiculous pet peeves —– First one, I don’t like half words like “ridic: instead of ridiculous or “gorgi” instead of gorgeous. Second one, like you, people who chew loudly or with their mouth open.
1 thing I will not put up with. —– thievery
Stephanie says
LOL I would gladly get behind a “Gimme some sugar” food group!
And the thievery. I hear you. All kinds from ideas to down right theft!
Stephanie LaPlante says
Great! Get enough people to back us up and make the world a lil sweeter. hehe
nicolthepickle says
2 ridiculous pet peeves. People who let their little kids loose at buffets to paw all the food, take loads and eat none. People who complain that they have so much work to do. We all have the same 24 hours.
nicolthepickle says
About the complaining, I mean people who do it all the time. We all have busy overwhelming days, just not for years in a row.
Stephanie says
I 100% hear you! Everyone needs to let off a little steam once in a while. (that’s half of what this blog is about!) but the constant whiners? They need to learn to let it go!
LisaM says
Also a complete aside – how did I miss you had a great dane? We adopted one from a rescue about 7 years ago. She was only with us a couple of years but we made sure to make them pretty awesome years. I’d get another in a heartbeat but my husband is less certain.
Stephanie says
I don’t know! We’ve had our Watson for almost 2 years now and he is the most gentle giant. I vote you start showing that Hubby of yours those Great Dane puppy pictures. No one can resist those sweet faces! 🙂
LisaM says
My 4 things: my family, bacon, whisky and coffee. Not necessarily in that order 😉
Stephanie says
LOL Bacon. How did I forget to out bacon on my list!
Julie says
5 food groups when really there should be 6? Agree with chocolate but am also a sucker for potato chips!
4 things I can’t live without. My family. My camera, My faith, Netflix
3 things that can instantly put me in a foul mood. Bad headaches, socks and underwear left on the floor all nilly willy, dirty shoes in the house
2 ridiculous pet peeves. When someone in my house makes tuna or salmon…I cannot stand the smell, when my son insists on wearing outfits that really don’t match
1 thing I will not put up with. Disrespect
Stephanie says
I adore your list!
Thanks for playing. Can I add chips and Netflix to my list too?
Oh and disrespectful people should all be banished to an island together!
Judy Cowan says

Oh I think I have to add my glasses and my puppy to my “Can’t live without list!”
And a new pet peeve. Whistlers? Go ahead and whistle a merry tune as you walk along, but don’t sit in a crowded airport and whistle for 45 minutes because I might start pulling my hair out!
Jay M says
5 food groups when really there should be 6? Agree. Chocolate IS a food group!
4 things I can’t live without. Family. Bike. Glasses/contacts. Music.
3 things that can instantly put me in a foul mood. Hunger. Lack of sleep. Bad drivers.
2 ridiculous pet peeves. Bad drivers. You know, the ones that don’t think using the ticker is for them, or the ones that sit out in the left lane causing people to pass them on the inside, or yeah, the drivers who text. Also, passive aggressive Facebook posts.
1 thing I will not put up with. Agree. Lying.
Stephanie says
Oh passive aggressive Facebook posts! Don’t get me started. Just say it or SHUSH! 🙂
