It was only three hours. How hard could it be to look after a 9 month old baby for only three hours. As it turns out, all kinds of hard.
My 9 month old niece came for a visit, and the truth of the matter is, that girl gave me a run for my money.
We read books.
Crawled on the floor.
Sang a few songs.
Knocked over a full container of Cheerios onto the table, that spilled all over the floor.
Laughed and laughed at the lack of dexterity of Aunt Stephanie.
Had a bottle (her, not me).
Decided we were still hungry and needed one of those super sloppy crumbly cookie things. My giant puppy was fascinated by that cookie.
Had a little water from a sippy cup, and promptly spilled some of that on the floor too!
You almost forget how amazing, exhilarating, wonderful, exhausting and messy it is to have a baby around the house again. Until you borrow a kiddo….and give her back. By the time here Mama came to pick her up, that girl was thoroughly loved, a little messier than when she arrived, and most certainly almost as tired as her Aunt.
The only thing is, when my SassyNeice left? She got to have a sweet little nap in her carseat on the way home. I was left to deal with crumbly cookie, spilled water and the Cheerio disaster of 2016.
It was the perfect time to break out my brand new Black + Decker 7.2-Volt Lithium Wet/Dry Cordless Handheld Vacuum. It’s cordless, it’s cute, it’s faster than a Great Dane smelling treats on the floor.

Most likely something kid or dog related, lol!

The mess I may clean up first is dirt and dust on the kitchen tile. I might also spill some flour or sugar just to make things more interesting.

I would probably say my first cleanup will be whatever the heck my kids spill at breakfast! There’s always cereal or bits of waffle or bagel scattered- and this would be the best tool to help me!

I’m currently having the kitchen cupboard painted. The sawdust from sanding is the first candidate for getting sucked up.

I would give this to my daughter who is in charge of the litter box. Everytime the cats come out from there they leave behind a trail of litter. This will be a good tool for her to clean up after her pets.

My 70lb goldendoodle!! He tracks in mud, dirt, sand and grass all over the house no matter what. It’s a good thing he’s such a cutie pie 😉
