Just waiting to be discovered in the middle of the Florida Keys on Duck Key, lies Hawks Cay Resort . A tranquil, family friendly paradise a short two hour drive from the Miami International Airport.
When you arrive you are immediately immersed in that laid back island vibe. Surrounded by attentive staff, palm trees, calming decor and acres and acres of resort to be discovered. Tropical colours, countless umbrellas and untold beauty around every corner. Accommodations at the resort range from traditional hotel style rooms, to cosmopolitan penthouse suites, to spacious 4 bedroom villas complete with kitchens and multiple bathrooms. A room for 2, a villa for 8? Take your pick and find your very own island paradise at Hawks Cay Resort.
On a recent stay at Hawks Cay Resort I was afforded the opportunity to stay in the Water View Lanai Guest Room.
This was the view from my patio. Unfiltered, every single morning. It was perhaps the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee.
A walk through the resort quickly has you taking in the little villages and rows of quaint villas that dot the property. Perfect for families or perhaps that multi-generational trip you’ve been dreaming of.
Once you’re done exploring be sure to take the time to enjoy any of the five award winning pools calling your name.
My favourite; the main Resort pool with a view of the lagoon.
Ready to liven things up? Adventure and activities abound for those who seek it. Paddle boarding in the lagoon, bike riding, segway tours, tennis, kayaking and jet skis! Take the kids with you on your adventures or enrol them in the Coral Cay Activities and Adventure Kids Club.
Have you ever dreamed of being a Dolphin Trainer for a day? Then you must check out the Dolphin Connection located right on site! An opportunity to observe, learn about, play with and interact with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins without ever leaving the resort!
Once you’ve worked up an appetite there are no shortage of restaurants at Hawks Cay Resort. From the quiet sophistication of Alma, to the perfection of the Beach Grill overlooking both the pool and lagoon, to the newest addition the Angler and Ale; you’ll need to stay nearly a week to try all the options available right on site!
As the day winds to a close take but a moment to bask in the glory of one of the Florida Keys magical sunsets. They are practically guaranteed to take your breath away.
If you are seeking a place to be active, and do it all, or a quiet paradise to re-connect with loved one’s, Hawks Cay offers a little something for everyone. Hawks Cay Resort may really be… the only Key you need.
Disclosure: I was provided with a media stay in order to accommodate my review. As always all opinions reflected on this blog are my own.
