If there is one place in the world where I can happily get lost for hours on end, it’s Indigo; Canada’s biggest book store. Wandering the aisles of beautiful books and magazines, a Starbucks in hand, it’s easy to lose yourself checking out the new releases, seeking adventure with a scary novel, broadening my horizons in the Travel section, or finding some family fun with the puzzles and toys. Whether in store or on-line Indigo has something for everyone. Some new fun favourites in the sprawling Indigo stores revolve around…wait for it….all things Canadian! That’s right! Whether you are looking to put together a gorgeous gift basket of cheeky Canadian fun, or find that one unique, yet truly Canadian piece, Indigo is your go to store. I saw three things, aside from the books (the Gretzky one I’ve already purchased for my Dad!), that really appeal to me: the Drake General Store Mountie Thermos for my husband; the Vancouver journal for our friends from Australia to record their trip here in; and the Hat Trick toque for my husband and me because it totally made me giggle, and what’s more Canadian than a toque?? 🙂 The Maple Leaf Reading Socks are also super cool – I’d love those for me too!
