How do you make nutrient rich smoothies and keep it cool? With the Boss To Go Plus by Breville!
The New Year is here and it may just be the perfect time to start making some changes. I for now am not great at resolutions, so have resolved not to make any. One thing I can do though? Treat myself, my body, my person a wee bit better. I know over the course of the day and week I’m lacking those vitamins and minerals a busy Mama in the Suburbs need to survive and thrive, be happy and happy. One big reason I’m so lacking in veggies? Time. I don’t take the time to take care of me. I skip breakfast, I don’t prep, I fall into the fast food hole of drive-thru coffee and call it a meal. This is why I was so pleased to be sent a Breville Boss To Go to give a whirl and see if I couldn’t start treating myself a little bit better. Here’s what I found.
First impressions: The Breville Boss To Go is over the top pretty and once unpacked fit seamlessly into my cupboards. Taking up very little space. Immediately I was inspired to flip through some old fave smoothie recipes, search out some new one’s and do some research. Was this small Breville appliance really as tough as it let on? We all know that the healthiest of food is often made with ingredients with ingredients that are difficult to blend. Worse than that, lumpy smoothies from a lumpy cup can make things hard to swallow, meaning I would give up on the smoothie lifestyle before I even got started. My new hope; with the right tools, a great recipe or two, tough could be made smooth and I’d start treating myself a little better, getting the nutrition I needed.
What I learned: The Breville Boss To Go® Plus is a Super Personal Blender that pulverizes whole fruits, vegetables, nuts and leafy greens using a powerful 1000 watt peak power motor.
The unique Smooth Edge Tumblers have no sharp external threads or notches around the tumbler rim so you get a nicer drinking experience.
Key Features
- Kinetix® Blade and Bowl system with unique folding action
- Central serrated blades pull ingredients down, large curved sweeping blades rapidly turn ingredients into tiny particles
- 2x 450ml dual wall insulated cups with smooth edge and lid 1x 700 ml mega café-style tumbler
- Smooth rimmed cups without clips or threads for a nicer drinking experience
- 3x travel lids
- 1x stainless steel milling and grinding container and lid Overload protection
What I Loved:
- No fruit or veggies is too tough for the Boss To Go Plus. This personal blender easily handled grape, apple skin and even spinach resulting in a super smooth drink.
- The tumblers are shatter proof and dishwasher safe.
- Breville promises smoother smoothies from a smoother cup and it delivers.
- It comes with a stainless steel mill so you can make your own flour and easily break down nuts and seeds. Invaluable for someone like me who doesn’t have a food processor.
The Boss To Go Plus also comes with a smoothie recipe book, perfect for those of us who needs to expand their repertoire of smoothies into the less daiquiri like, more healthy style drinks!
