How do you sum up all that is Mom?
Keeper of the cookies, and the peace.
Multi-tasker extraordinaire.
We wear all the hats, we are all things. A chauffeur, a chef, a cleaner, an errand girl, a tutor, a therapist, a photographer, a cheerleader, a top level negotiator, a playmate, a nurse, a teacher, a friend, and a confident to name a few.
Somehow, this just does not begin to adequately describe all that is Mom.
Moms can be glamorous, sporty, refined, stressed, content, or silly as required. We are ever flexible, fluid as a matter of necessity.
We are the one’s cheering the loudest at every little league game, dance competition, volleyball match or even Spelling B.
Nobody’s prouder than a Mom.
We are the one you can run to when your heart is broken. When you hurt, our hearts ache.
We are the one’s offering advice, even if you don’t want to hear it. Sometimes, we’re even right.
We are the safe, reliable, warm hug you can count on when you need it at the end of the day.
Moms are the one’s who will love you the longest, and the hardest.
Moms, they have to be a little bit of everything.
As a Mom, I look at the world in a different way.
I know that every moment must be cherished.
Every day is a new reason to celebrate.
I’ve never been happier, more frightened, prouder and more humbled by your power and your beauty.
I’m amazed by your potential, your capacity to learn, to love, your kindness, your heart.
Now that I am a Mom, I strive to be a better daughter.
I am more thankful for my relationship with my Husband then ever before.
Before I was a Mom, I didn’t know what a true gift Motherhood is.
I’m so glad I get to be your Mom.
There is fierce power in being a Mom, and I am forever thankful for this gift.
It’s all I need for Mother’s Day.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the fierce Mama’s out there. Biggest hugs to all for taking on the most difficult, wonderful, amazing job in the entire world. Know that even on the hardest of days, you are blessed, needed and loved.
There’s nothing more amazing and fulfilling than being a mother and a grandmother.
You’re right, being a mother is so many different things. Beautifully written.
Such a great post, I changed myself when I became a mother! Hope you had a great day, which I know you did!! Happy Mothers Day!!
Well said madam! So many balls being juggled by each mom.
What a lovely post! So true that moms wear many (many!) hats and don’t often get the recognition they deserve. Here’s to all the amazing moms out there – great job!!
Motherhood is so very hard at times but so very rewarding.
I feel truly blessed to still have my mom at 91 years young. She is my rock. Your blog certainly summed up motherhood and it’s range of emotions. It’s a really tough job but the rewards are oh so sweet.
Beautiful said, I enjoyed reading this and yes it brought tears to my eyes too. Mothers are often under appreciated and taken for granted despite the fact that they are loved. It’s tough job, long hours, never ending tasks and then the kids smile and at you and your heart melts.
Mother’s wear so many hats. They change multiple times a day and even more so year to year. Currently I am finding it so difficult to STOP mothering so much and let my kids do things on their own. They have to learn how to cut their own meat, fold their laundry, make a snack. BUT THAT’S MY JOB! It is a hard balance to strike.
Great piece! There’s not much a mother cannot do.
Thanks you, just beautiful ! Hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day
Amazingly well put! There’s nothing more amazing and fulfilling than being a mother

You put a tear in my eye, beautiful.
Hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day!!!
