It’s that time again. The sweet spot in the year where the entire summer lays before you. Ripe with promise, full of hope. We dream of sunny days at the beach, long walks in the woods, an entire season to make those memories your kids will look back on for their rest of their lives with fondness. You can just picture it; their stories beginning with “I remember when I was growing up...”. No pressure, but there is a saying; “You only get 18 summers with your kids“. Eighteen ridiculous short, flash by before eyes, gone before you know it, summer vacations to create beautiful memories with your children.
So when the harsh reality hits that you really only have 18 summers before the pressures of College or University take hold, those Summer Bucket Lists begin to look a whole lot different. Each summer for as long as I can remember my girls and I have created a Summer Bucket List. Creating a list of dreams, tasks, must do’s for our ultimate summer. Then for the next 8 weeks, we just go for it. When my girls were little we included things like; learning how to swim with faces in the water, bubble parties and making sparkly slime. As the years flew by the lists have morphed and changed but one thing has remained the same; the idea is that we squeeze in as much into our two months of freedom as possible.
So once again, here are our ideas for the Ultimate Summer Bucket List For Teens.
I hope your summer is everything you dreamed it could be. Full of joy, stuffed with laughter and adventure. Now go out there and enjoy it! Happy Summer!

Such a simple but fun list! We used to live in a town with a drive-in movie and really miss it. We make sure to go every time we get back home in the summer.

Swim in the dark is a cool one. Sometimes when camping we take the boat out on the lake late at night & jump in for a nighttime swim. It’s so freaky & cold but so fun!
