Thank you to the sweet lady who gave me her grocery cart when I couldn’t find one damn quarter to free one from the grocery cart stall myself. I promise to pay it forward.
Thank you, grocery store for your hot and ready, pre-cooked chicken (with a side of fries). I know what’s for dinner tonight. No shame in my game.
Thank you to the wonderful Mom who picked up my daughter from dance so Hubby and I could act like adults for a little while. All dressed up at a dinner party, together. That was a very good night.
My sincerest (and most sarcastic) thanks to the garbage man who threw my giant green garbage pail into the middle of the lawn this week instead of letting it roll down the road as usual. Such a surprise to find that pail where it belongs.
Thank you, Banana Republic for your clearance rack. I do adore you.
Thank you, PR rep for that last minute conference call cancellation. No sarcasm, a true thank you. One less thing.
Thank you to the group of 20-year-olds who gave me a whistle as I walked out of Tim Hortons.
Sigh. Sometimes as you battle life in suburbia, it’s the little things that get you through.

Appreciation for the little things can definitely get you through the day! Thank you for the reminder to work on my gratitude list too! 🙂

I love reading this, you do write the most amusing things. That whistle must have gone down like butter. My daughters often get checked for ID when buying alcohol and cause those asking to get a shock when they see that they are 38, 37, 34 and 25. They grow 6 inches I’m sure. LOL

The eternal search for a shopping cart coin is a much bigger part of my life than it should be! I almost never have cash on me so the struggle is real.

Sounds like a pretty decent day. I appreciate when the garbage man doesn’t make us chase our bins too. LOL

I just so needed to read this today. THANK YOU! I may have to go write one of my own.
