Orlando Florida is one of my favourite places to run to for a quick family vacation. It offers great weather, fabulous shopping, endless family-friendly activities and of course Walt Disney World. It would seem no two trips to Orlando are ever the same, and no two hotels in the area are alike. If you are looking for a resort near the magic and are ready to spoil your family, you must consider the Four Seasons Resort Orlando At Walt Disney World.
The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is located inside the private gated community of Golden Oaks and within sight of Disney World. The resort manages to seamlessly blend together luxury and family creating an atmosphere of sheer opulence that’s still suitable for families. We were astounded by the service, the beauty and the amenities of this property. The distinct and stunning pool areas, the 242-foot-long waterslide, an 11,008-square-foot lazy river, a rock climbing wall and the complimentary Kids For All Seasons kids camp will keep even the most active of families busy. Add to all of this a little bit of Pixie Dust and what you have is paradise.
The Lobby:
When you arrive you are immediately greeted by attentive staff who whisk you away to the front desk to be checked in. The process is seamless, the Lobby is striking.
With impossibly high ceilings and a grand staircase, it’s difficult not to be impressed from the moment you walk in.
The Guest Rooms:
Breathtaking. Immaculate. Elegant. All rooms have a private balcony and distinct view.
Each room is equipped with an impressive array of amenities including; a Nespresso coffee maker, flat screen television, roomy walk-in closets, stunning marble bathrooms (with a remarkable TV inset in the mirror), and a bedside tablet that can be used to stay connected to the front desk, order room service or even set an alarm.
Suites range in size from King Beds to two Double Beds to Presidental Suites. Our stay allowed us the opportunity to stay in the Park View Deluxe Suite. This spacious suite boasted a King Size bedroom, separate living and dining area, 2 bathrooms – including one bathroom with a deep soaking tub, a walk-in closet and a view of the golf course and nightly fireworks display at the Magic Kingdom. In short, it was spectacular.
The Pool and Grounds:
The family pool is zero entry and is framed by a view of conservation lands to one side and large television screen to the other. The TV screen often plays “Dive-In: movies”, Disney films, of course, to entertain the wee ones. Okay, and the adults too. This massive freeform pool is also surrounded by a countless number of pool chairs and brightly coloured umbrellas.
Staff pop by regularly to set up your plush towels and pillows, provide pitchers of ice water, and take any food or drink orders you may have. A glass of champagne while I bask in the sun around the pool? Yes, please.
Explorer Island.
This area includes a splash zone, waterslide, family pool and the lazy river with numerous waterfalls along the way, gorgeous palm trees sway overhead, and places to jump out and grab a seat in some very fun poolside seating abound.
Had enough pool time? Save some time to hit the “Hideout”. A perfect place for the teens to escape for a while.

Here you can enjoy a little air conditioning, play some video games or take up a game of billiards. When you’re finished, head back outside for a quick game of volleyball or basketball.
The adults-only pool. (21 and over) proved to be a tranquil escape. A designated quiet zone, this serene area was surrounded by numerous private beach beds, a pool perfect for laps and of course it’s very own hot tub with a view.
There are numerous restaurants on the property. These include; Capa the rooftop steakhouse. Ravello: Not to be missed if you love a breakfast buffet. PB&G: The restaurant by the pool. And Lickety Split, a fabulous spot to grab a coffee or gelato in a fancy cone! While at the resort we also experienced some of the best Poolside services we have ever had from incredibly friendly and attentive staff, and we indulged in Room Service. The food and service was top notch everywhere we went.
What we loved:
Location: Disney Springs is approximately 10 minutes away by car. The Magic Kingdom approximately 3 minutes by private shuttle.
The Rooms: The rooms were spectacular well thought out and laid out, some offering views of the nightly fireworks show happening at DisneyWorld. Insider Tip: If you don’t have a room with a fireworks view you can see the show from the rooftop restaurant.
The Perks: The Four Seasons Resort Orlando offers its very own Disney character breakfasts with time to interact with Disney Characters, a Disney Planning Center and complimentary park shuttle service like no other. When you are ready to head to the park, simply pick up your shuttle schedule telling you what time the big Coach Bus departs the hotel and perspective parks each day.
Worthy Of Note:
The Four Seasons Orlando is not an official Disney hotel, therefore you are not afforded the option of early entry that you may get at some Disney properties.
This is a 5 Star Hotel with incredible service and amenities. Sale prices won’t generally be found on room rates.
The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is an oasis of tranquility within view of the Disney Theme Parks. This remarkable resort is an opulent, classic escape that just might be difficult to tear yourself away from. The only problem you may encounter, how difficult it will be to say goodbye.
