I have a question. How is this year almost over? It may sound cliche, but I have no idea where this year has gone. If forced to sum up my 2018 in a word it might be…fast. We were running. From event to event. One “must do” to the next. One house catastrophe after another! (Stupid pool. Stupid furnace. Leaking basement!) Running to keep up with the crazy pace of life, to pack it all in, to see all the places and eat all the things. We celebrated a family wedding, traveled to some fabulous places and started making plans for the next “big thing”. Isn’t there always a next big thing? I do love a good plan. This year was sweet, nice….sometimes hard, often romantic and joyful. It all balanced out and for that I am grateful.
If I was to tell the complete truth about how I’m feeling right now, I would tell you that at this precise moment, this Mama needs a break. I need to slow down, enjoy my kids, my Hubby, my life, and that is exactly what I’m going to do. I need to step away from the laptop and into the moment. Take a deep breath and be thankful for everything right in front of me. With this I bring you my holiday wishes for all of you….
- I wish you all a season full of good health.
- A New Year bursting with joy.
- I send you a silent prayer for healing and peace for those who may need it most.
- I hope that we may all find a way to make paying it forward a priority.
- I hope that you all find a way to slow down, breathe and truly live in the moment.
I hope in 2019 my word is JOY. You pray for health, you find your love, you work at your passion and hope joy finds a way. I hope in 2019 everyone in our lives is healthy and happy and we continue to laugh bigger laughs and dream bigger dreams than ever before. As this year winds down to a close I will be thankful for everything I already have, thankful that you all take the time to follow my blog and my journey right here! And I wish you all the best the season has to offer, and none of the stress, mess or icky stuff.
I’m taking a much needed Christmas break to spend time with my loves.
Sending you all peace and love, see you in the New Year!
Biggest of hugs. xo

I really enjoyed this post. I’m lucky in that I don’t have a hectic life, the advantage of being retired. Life was different and definitely hectic when all 7 kids were living at home. Now I have time to enjoy my 9 (soon to be 10) grandchildren here and in Europe and generally take things at a slower pace. Here’s hoping we all have a lot of joy in 2019.
