The Restaurants: Hungry? There are three eateries right on site to indulge your inner foodie including:
Cafe Zinc
The ambiance of the contemporary hotel spills over into the chic Cafe Zinc. This modern, 40 seat French bistro is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner and is a MUST do while in Midland Michigan. As you start your day, enjoy spectacular service, hot coffee and a choice of baked goods prepared daily by the French pastry chef. The menu changes for lunch and dinner and there are tables available both inside and out! Our dinner left us wowed. We feasted on an array of spectacular appetizers, scrumptious seafood dishes and desserts that are so good you might be tempted to order two…you know so you have an extra one for later.
Table
The menu, the atmosphere, the sommelier and his wine choices, all combine to gift you pure perfection at Table. The bright and elegant menu features Certified Angus Prime steaks, line caught and/or sustainably raised seafoods, and Michigan naturally raised poultry. As you sit soaking of the ambiance, swirling your glass of wine, it occurs o you that each course served at Table is more delectable than the next. The bread served is warm and crusty, the appetizer or Rice Cracker Crusted Lobster literally made me giggle with delight. Literally giggle out loud. Our Angus Prime steaks were cooked to perfection and I was introduced to a carrot cake topped with a dollop of cinnamon ice-cream that I will never forget. Table is a destination in it’s own right and a joy to find next to the H Hotel.
Oxygen Lounge
When the lights go down and you are looking for somewhere to gather for a drink and a late night nibble, a stop by the Oxygen Lounge is called for. The ambiance is warm and inviting, the crowd is friendly and the drink menu extensive! (not to mention those delish chips). Oxygen also serves drinks out in the courtyard at tables under the stars. How romantic.
What We Loved
- The quiet – both the quiet of the location and the rooms.
- The location – in a very walkable area of Midland, just steps from coffee shops, little galleries and gardens galore. About a 30 minutes drive from a few major attractions.
- Complimentary Valet – yes complimentary.
- Free use of bikes to explore the area.
- The restaurants. Each one more surprising then the next. The service was outstanding and the food worthy of the trip alone.
