“Mom….it’s out of paper!”
“NOOOO! How is this printer out of ink again?”
“Seriously, I need to make this thing print. My assignment is due tomorrow morning!”
Do any of these scenarios sound familiar? Do you live in fear of your printer “dying” when you need it most. Sadly, my house has been held hostage by of all things…a printer. More times then I care to admit there have been tears, late run nights for ink or paper, and even a desperate call to a friend for HELP, because our dinosaur of a printer won’t do the one thing it was supposed to do. PRINT. Now that both of my girls are heading off to University, I need a solution to our printer panic, and fast! Enter the Epson EcoTank-3710. A cute, compact and perhaps perfect choice for those with kids heading off to school.

I’ve read some reviews on this printer and although I like the idea I’ve decided not to buy this one. It’s pretty expensive and I don’t print much in colour at all (I do have a laser black & white printer) and I’ve read that if you do not print often (like once a week) you will be fighting with it to get to clean the print heads to print in colour. This wastes a lot of ink. So this isn’t a printer for me I’m afraid.

Thanks for the information but when it comes to printers I always price the ink because sometimes it can cost way to much to replace.

I do like the idea of one set of replacement bottles being equivalent to about 80 individual cartridges that certainly is a huge plus.

Printers suck. They have one job to do – print! Why won’t they print?? lol! I’m glad you found a solution. I’ve more or less given up on home printers.

It sounds like a great little printer. I wish that I had got an Epson for my last one, my dad has one and it’s been great. My brand not so much.

wow! 80! I would never get that far with my previous printers, they wouldn’t last that long for us 🙁
