Anyone else head over heels in love with all things smoothie? In my house, smoothies and smoothie bowls aren’t just for breakfast anymore. We are loving them for a healthy afternoon pick me up, a quick meal on the go and yes, even a late night snack. Smoothies are versatile, nutritious and all kinds of delish. Now, thanks to the Super Q super powerful blender, plus the magical Breville Vac Q, it’s never been easier to stomp out those snack cravings and create the smoothies of your dreams.
Have you ever experienced smoothie failure? Let me set the scene. With the very best of intentions, you head to the grocery store or famers market and stock up on the very best the veggie and fruit aisles have to offer. Recipe in hand you blend together your kiwi, cucumber, kale and almond milk and proudly present your concoction to your family only to be met with turned up noses and a unanimous round of “no-thanks.” The reason for the prompt rejection? Lumpy, dare I say, chunky smoothies and bowls that nobody wants to eat. Texture in a smoothie is everything! This is why I’m thrilled to introduce you to the the new Breville Super Q Blender + the Breville Vac Q (*sold separately) compatible attachment. An unbeatable combination.
This super quick, super quiet, blender is a commercial grade blender designed specifically for the home kitchen. With the most powerful motor, personal blender attachment and noise suppression technology, the Super Q improves versatility and delivers an advanced texture optimization for smoother and softer textures. It’s just what you’ve been looking for to finally master the smoothest smoothie and picture perfect smoothie bowls.
I decided to put this little baby to the test with a recipe adapted from Breville – the Mango Melba.
Here’s what you need:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cup frozen cubed mango
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 1/4 chilled soy milk (I substituted almond milk)
- Peaches to slice on top
- Fresh Raspberries (for serving)
- Organic Granola (for serving)
- Coconut (optional)
Directions:
- Place ingredients into blender jug and secure lid.
- Press FROZEN DESSERT until program finishes. Blend a little longer if required. Use tamper to press ingredients into blades as required.
- Divide smoothie evenly between 4 bowls.
- Top with sliced peaches, raspberries, organic granola and coconut (optional).
The result is always a home run. Smoothie bowls can be created to cater to any taste buds and are an easy way to sneak some veggies into those picky eaters in the house. The Super Q isn’t just for smoothies. It’s blending capability also makes it the perfect choice for homemade soups, nut butters and of course, your favourite frozen drinks.
What I Loved:
- Super Quick And Powerful: With a powerful 1800 Watt motor, the Super Q has the highest possible motor rating. This means your smoothie is whipped up super quick.
- Personal Blender Attachment: The Super Q comes with an additional blade system to mix food and drinks directly into a personal blender cup. I use that blender almost every day! This smaller cup means you can have your drinks on the go and blend smaller amounts of food into a small vessel. It features an intelligent base that automatically recognizes the vessel and optimizes performance, whether you use the 68oz jug or the personal blending on the go cup.
- 5 One Touch Programs: One Touch programs feature optimized time/speeds to produce the tastiest results. Enjoy silkier dairy smoothies and smoother green smoothies thanks to the two smoothie programs. Turn ice into snow with pulse/ice crush, get creative with the frozen desserts function or make fast hot cold-to-hot soups easily with the soup one touch program.
- 12 Speed Settings: Easy selection and advanced texture optimization for smoother & softer textures. Create natural nut butters, cocktails, fine milled flour, creamy dips, sauces, zesty dressings and freshly ground spices.
- Noise Suppression Technology: Imagine higher performance that’s easier on the ear. A unique cooling system reduces operating noise means less chance I’ll wake up the kids while I’m blending up breakfast.
- Compatible With the VAC QTM: The Super Q is compatible with the Vac Q vacuum pump. By removing air from the jug before blending, the Vac Q provides a smoother texture, brighter colours and richer flavours to your blend. The result is a prettier smoothie or soup. The Vac Q is sold separately.
- Overall Design: This blender, although large, is pretty enough to leave out on my butlers pantry so I have easy access to it any time I want it.
For more information on this incredible home appliance be sure to visit the Breville Canada website. The average retail price of the Super Q is $799.99 CDN, and the Vac Q is $149.99 CDN.
