Goodbye to that sweet silent cup of coffee in the morning. Sigh.
Goodbye to the untold hours I had to read, and comment on blogs.
Goodbye to my long uninterrupted showers. I will miss you.
Goodbye to lunch dates with adults, with cutlery and linen napkins.
Goodbye my precious manis and pedis. There is no time for you now.
Goodbye to gossipy uninterrupted phone chats!
Goodbye to the quiet.
School’s out for summer!!
HELLO to the noise.
Hello to “There is nothing to eat. I don’t want that She’s bothering me.”
Hello to “Can I have a play date. Please. Now? Please. Why not?”
Hello to pink paint on the deck, and marker on the table.
Hello to sticky melted popsicles running down fingers and dripping off chins.
Hello to rowdiness in the pool, giggles and screams of delight.
Hello to soccer games and grass stains.
Hello to sunscreen, sunburn and swimming by the hour.
Hello to falling off bikes and swings, bumps on the head, splinters in bare feet and Frisbees to the face. Umm. Yes, this is a home of summertime klutzes.
Hello to picnics outside, butterfly chasing and late nights under the stars.
Hello to sneaking in the occasional late night skinny dip!
Don’t hate me, but I do love these two months of “freedom”.
Cheers to all things summer!

Enjoy the wonderful chaos of summer! I’m actually already kind of sad thinking of my little guy starting JK in the Fall – my baby’s growing up too fast:( Thanks for stopping by My Life as a Libra today & Happy Belated Canada to you too:)

OH MY! We are making an unexpected shift from Year-Round to traditional 10-month school calendar, so instead of 3 weeks in August, which are filled, I am now faced with the whole summer and feeling completely unprepared (although looking forward to it as well!)
Thanks for your comments on Single mom in the South!

Big sigh. I want your life (when school is in!)

AH, yes, the lovely days and joys of summer… but… despite all that… I sure enjoy it much more than winter! I’m already stressed about the thought of evil winter returning! Gah!

Strange. I was looking forward to the kids going back so I could have time to myself but they are back today and I am so not ready!

Its funny, the summer holidays are starting over there, and our two-month-long vacation have already come to an end! Time flies, doesn’t it?

I love summer also, but forget what all the other time is like. I work 7:30 to 4 so I work during their school hours….no peace and quiet for me. LOL….just kidding, I do work those hours but my Lexi is 15…her friends are far more important than me any day of the year.

I’ve yet to experience a true summer break with my daughter. We’re still living under the looming specter of kindergarten starting in the fall.
Still we’re checking lots of those things off our own list. Most recently she fell off of her bike. Ouch!

I LOVE summer too. I love staying in the Pj’s until noon (or later) if we want…going to bed a little later, playing outside until after dark…I just wish it was warmer where we live.

I love Summer too! I love having the kids home. However, here is to zero ER trips this holiday, as we are rather accident prone as well…cheers! 😉
